2. The soldering tip is removable, I don't know if you can buy different fitments for other applications though
3. Protium

5. I'd be tempted but my MIM Precision isn't worth much more than the case!
6. Bought some P-bass knobs from Andy, top man to deal with
7. Shill bidding, no question: http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=180961649612

9. It's back! £30 for the neck not bad though?
10. Now wait for the crappy feedback when the buyer realises it's a turd
11.
What category did you report it as, they changed the system a while back and I can't spot anything to cover 'description is complete lies'. Also, if you fit a fretless neck, it magically gives you perfect pitch and co-ordination, that's cool.
Neither could I so I spoke to someone on the online help service I can't see the feasibility of changing the only part of the bass that might be worth something
12. All outdoor events are cancelled today due to high wind and rain.
13.
like ive mentioned in my ad this is a custom hand made bass designed for the scale length of 37" for an upright...whoever buys it at this rediculas price is very lucky as the parts alone cost me £300 3 weeks ago. So if (as mentioned) a fretless neck was fitted the intonation would be corrected. This bass is for someone with some technical knowledge, so they can mess aroud with it to get it right...you seem to know it all so why dont you put a bid in at this givaway price.
Reported to eBay, no action taken
14. I like the OC-2 and also have a DOD octoplus which is decent too. Both track OK to around an open A
15. From Ashdown: 1000 WATT - The two SPEAKER OUTPUTS on the 1000 Watt model are driven independently by 2 x 500 watt output stages. Each socket can run into a 4 Ohm load for maximum output power. So you can plug both cabs into one socket, or one cab into each socket. It will work either way - see which one sounds better (though the difference should be negligible)
If you'd read this you'd have known last night: http://basschat.co.u...-impedance-etc/
Very helpful as usual
16. Hi there can you tell me the distance from nut to 12th fret, and also distance from 12th fret to bridge?
please remember this bass was designed for an upright 17" from top nut 20" from 12th fret...the bridge can be moved up to the pickup...its playable up to the 10th fret...the neck can be changed for a fretless.
Someone has stuck a bid on it too
17. I had a VM Jazz when they first came out, well built and sounded alright. Straight away I had the frets levelled and setup properly - it played better than most USA Fenders Best of all, my mate worked for Dawsons at the time - I only paid about £120 new for it
18. Protium

One fuzz left, offers?
19. Protium

20. Pickups (Kent Armstrong are nice, Wizard, Fender, loads of choices), Gotoh 203 bridge, set up
21.
Hmmm, could be tempted. I suspect the weight might be an issue?... Presumably the "cab" section is an 8 ohm 4 by 10, so could be used with an additional 8 ohm cab to make a mahoooosive stack? I want something Ashdown, this could be "it"
If you add another 410 to this combo you could easily go into the demolition business
