How does one go about it? I believe this year I may become of some value in the advertising marketplace....
Go back to the 70s/80s before "modern tones" and get yourself a P-bass endorsement
I only recently bacame a supporting member after using TB for about six years. I never had a problem with cliquey-ness from contributing members...

Hah! yes, I referred to him as 'Jacko-4X' once, don't think it went down too well
Yeah, whenever I see his name I feel like having a beer
I suppose it's cos it's one of the really well known Muse tracks. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the right sound for Muscle Museum.
Also, I do want the distortion that he uses on Futurism. Sounds epic!
Sounds to me like seperate clean and distorted tracks, I can get a tone very similar with a Boss ODB3
I had a similar experience when I bought my first 911.
Highly amusing.

But what the hell - it was Music Ground.
The one in Manchester isn't any better, at least when I was there last.
the shorter the signal path between your bass and your speakers the better it will sound.
Cool, I might try gigging using a patch cable between bass and amp then
And it draws the attention away from the lovely carlbro rig worth £1600
Don't know, I was just providing the links
What I've bought since I started playing in 2003:
1 Yamaha RBX170. Great little bass til it broke and I used it PX for the Thunderbird.
2 Cort GB25. Beasty tone, just had no use for the spare string. Sold about a year ago.
3 Epiphone Thunderbird. Looked cool but was a bastard to set up properly. Sold to fund Pedulla.
4 Pedulla Rapture. Bought in 2005/06. Still got it
5 Hondo II P-bass. Restored to its former mediocre glory and sold on after a few months.
6 Squier Vintage Modified Jazz. Very very nice for the money - added Bartolini bridge pickup and series parallel wiring. Sold on BC earlier this year.
7 Precision bass. Built myself earlier this year. Wizard Thumper pickup, 0.1uF tone circuit (orange drop). Still got it.
8 Yamaha RBX250 fretless. Fretless is definitely not my thing! Sold.
