    Managed to play the gig without hiring in the six DB monitors, we weren't on furlong before we knew it would be ok! Trotted out the usual pub band set and the punters enjoyed it so we made hay while the Sun shined.

    I live in a fairly outdoorsy area with lots of mountain bikers visiting, the Ford vans are being targeted here too leaving no damage behind or finger prints.

    I can't imagine there is a venue on earth that has a capacity of 2500 with monitors worse than your average 500 watt bass rig? The highest live volumes I've encountered have been practice rooms and the quietest have ALWAYS been the biggest venues! I've used a 1x12 cab in front of a few thousand people with no problems at all.

    We have around 40 tracks to choose at the moment and play for around two hours a show,we play around 30 so another hour would need 45 tracks in total so playing twice a week would mean playing the whole repertoire each week at least by my rough calculations?

    Plenty of pro players would disagree not to mention the damage to your ears if you are playing regularly without ear protection though?

    What happens if the Tickled Trout call you for a gig and you have hired out the DB or D and B speakers to another band that night?

    It depends what the road crew and guitar techs tune them to on the night, obviously we only play the trout if they will stump up the £175 fee we demand to include the full touring crew!

    We play mustang Sally in C, if the venue isn't happy about that they can get another band to play instead.
