Faithless, I let this goes for 2 main reasons... - 1 - I play less and less 5 strings... and more and more playing on 4... reason I could be interested in a swap. - 2 - I have now 2 childs which take more and more place at home and a great part of my music stuff need to go. Already, synths, studio effects, other basses and other things are sold. I think that I will keep only 3 or 4 basses . (My JP 5 / PB / ATK 600 / and perhaps another 4, why not a JB...) This BTB is awesome, but I would like to keep only one 5 and in the 5, the JP is my favorite.

Proud owner of 3 Ibbys... Actually : - BTB 5 PQM Custom Shop (see link in my sgnature.) - ATK 600 deluxe (Japan '96) - ATK 405 (Corea '02) (same as Warpig overthere) And I can say that Ibbys are very underrated... as my BTB which can be considered equal and even more to a F bass or that kind of bass... Ibby' enjoy !

You can have a lot of onboard preamp... try to look to John east / Audere / Aguilar / EBS / Bartolini / sadowski... All with different grain and clarity following your needs and tastes...

out of the topic to pulvo Oui pulvo, déjà rencontré sur le net... sous le pseudo "Budha bass" sur audiofanzine ! (c'est vrai que j'interviens peu ces temps-ci) end of extra.

as answered to different persons about some specific questions : Custom shop Ibanez basses cannot be buy as another custom shop do (ie : fender, warwick...) cause it's mainly apart of the factory and is mainly dealing with people that Ibanez endorses. Also, A friend of a good relashion ship in Japan work in this dept. And it's the only reason why I've got one. (I'm not an Ibanez endorsee ) (and for info, I paid this bass about 2500 € in 2003... about 2000 £)

You're welcome... I know the owner of those basses, and he's addicted to Vox basses

Hi, Here my Yamaha Rm1x for trade with bassist equipment. Nothing special, working properly but no need of it. It's a groove box, a good sequencer, a rythm box... etc... Good hardware. open to any offers. base is about 200 £. So if you've got some effects, gear or ....anything could interest me. I just added a picture.

maybe the same as SR series Ibanez ? you could ask to SR owner ...

going to a 2x12" could be a solution... I was formerly user of 4x10 + 15, before chosing a 2x12 which is great... for sound. But 12" is more accuracy and has a more "hi-fi" tone... So check it out before buying one...

did you also consider tecamp cabs ?
this is something that annoys me. ibanezes are SO underrated, i'd go for an ibanez over a fender, gibson, lakland etc. any day. they're much cheaper for a better quality - £350 worth of ibanez will buy you a fast neck, lightwieght bass with three band EQ and bartolini pickups new. £350 of fender will buy you a bog standard mexican precision or jazz new. and people still choose to buy fenders! AGHHHH!!!! (by the way, i've got nothing against fenders... they're just completely over rated)
Yeah +1. But I also considered Ibanez for their (quite unknown) Custom shop ! I have a BTB 5 custom that I sell for the only reason that I play more on 4 string basses than 5er. (also sell an ATK 405 but not offering it on this forum due to posting fees) For sure, as few people here, I prefer ATK basses sound than Musicman one. Moreover, I also play Fender precision, which is quite different. But Ibanez
