1. Hey Nuf, how are you ? Don't let this beauty, mate...that's a shame. You guys could go easily with this JP, high end bass. (I also own a JP and , sure, you cannot be wrong with a JP !) Good luck, nuf
2. But I also don't have enough cash .... Maybe I can try with a cort curbow from a friend + a sequencer yamaha RM1X from my side + cash...
3. I'm just disapointed to not have a cheap bass at the moment ...
4.
Oh and it's the one on the left
But I prefer the one on the right !
5.
The tecamp stuff dont look quite so sexy as the early pics and reviews, how does it sound and what do u have there spec wise? and where did it come from, imported i guess, dont think rossetti have got there act together yet have they
Yeah, it's sexy, it's just a (quick done) picture... The sound : Amazing, you know it's diffcult to write about the sound but you can go from vintage to very modern sound without problem only with the "MAGIC" knob which is named "TASTE" ... only this word means the function... you can see the spec on the tecamp web. And I'm in France, and we have a luthier named "Laurent Kah" (famous ! laurent-kah ) and it's the official distributor for France (only high end gear in his home ! ) But for specific informations, you can contact directly by mail tecamp chief , who replied quickly to all questions...
6.
The new look of the tec amp stuff is starting to grow on me. I have the older Tech Soundsystems 4x12 and it's an awesome cab!
Yeah, very professional look, you never need to see it, you just know you want it...when you ear it...
7. here is mine : tecamp Puma 500 (6lbs)+ XS112 for small gigs (22lbs) / + S212 (41lbs) for bigger ones
8. Hey rockin, put attention to those 70' jazz... some are really nice but a lot are (very...very...) bad. new US from 2008 are better than others, so you could maybe check it ?
9. Here an adding picture :
10. I'm sorry to say that but as a pre-owner of a sadowski... I made a test ... A/B test ... a fender (american standard US / Alder - Rosewood) with the sadowski preamp box.... against a sadowski US (Alder - Maple) ... And... nothing... amazingly the same (more trebles on the sadowski but maple fretboard.... so... and a bit lack of mids on the sado...) So... I cannot understand that a lot of people spend to much money for just the SADO name... (...I need to correct... I understand cause I already spend too much money ... but cause of the "commercial effect" "GAS effect" so name it as you want given by forums and advertisments... )
11.
Ooooh There's some REALLY tasty stuff out there. Loving the TecAmp stack! And The EBS must be a beastly sounding rig too. What do those cabs have in them?
Concerning the tecamp stack : I use the little XS112 (8ohms) with my Puma for small gigs (to get a 250 W max power) and the smaller S212 (4 ohms) in order to have 500 W power beside... For bigger events, I don't need any material cause there's always stuff....( the most often ampeg + fridge 8x10 ) but I don't like the ampeg stuf... I would like they use a badcat or badbull with the badcab !!!! but never.....
12. Here is my complete Rig... Just for the bass corner without effects....
13. The WAl sound of the FLEA sound is behind....
14. Nothing.... Just forgot 2-3 things on the way... (And As I 'm a french guy, I don't speak very well english so...) but corrected now....
15. Do you know why a lot of people do not consider High top level Ibanez basses as no high end basses ? very strange ....isn't it ?
16. No, no... just the Zon VB, I'm Ok with my other basses....
17. But If you think to trade yur Zon VB againt a custom 5 ....
18. Nice bass you've got here.... Is a deluxe sound as an american one or "better" ... ? If better I could think...
19.
I depends what you mean by "high price" and what you use as a comparison. Compared to a high-end Fodera it is cheap Apart from philosophical discussions... It is a bass difficult to find, no longer in production, it is in good conditions, great design and it was quite expensive when it was in production. If you just need information, I recommend you Google it. I am sure you will find tons of information about the XL2.
Sure, cheap compare to a fodera ! As you said, more a philosophical discussion... cause 1500 £ is quite a lot for me... I find different information on Google before asking here, but no mention about price when it was in production etc... and was not able to say if it was a bass difficult to find for exemple... But, Now, I'm a bit more informed about this one, thank you ! And a Bump !!!
20. And an info : There are 2 double action trussrods in the neck, so this way, you can adjust the curvature from the B to the G String... Nice
21. I don't know steinberger basses.... Is there any reason for this let me say "high price"... High end bass ? Collector Bass ? other ? (not a question about discussing the price but just to my information about steinberger basses....)
