5. This is my former bass. And this bass is really something! Very resonant and super sounding! I am sad I can't buy it back at the moment.

 11.
Beautiful bass Margus. Oh and if anyone's worried about dealing with a guy in Estonia, they needn't be. Margus is a great player and engineer and really knows his instruments. I bought my MTD from him a while back and it arrived brilliantly packed and in perfect condition. Good luck with the sale
Thanks a lot! Hope this MTD has served you well?!
 12.
If that was natural I'd be all over it ! I'm seriously considering selling my Fodera so I can buy a W & T and probably have some cash left over. They are blowing my mind ! Wish I could demo a few of them. Would love a Chronos and a custom four of some kind.
Chronos is a wonderful instrument! I own one too. Played it against every possible high end bass (included very expensive Foderas) and still found it to be the best among them!
 13.
Bloody hell!
Well, not 19" but 19mm, sorry!
 14.
Aah, very nice but too many knobs-bump.......
I can take them out for you!
 15.
34" or 35"? Weight?
It's 34". String spacing at bridge is 19". The pickups are exactly at the 70's jazz position. Unfortunately I don't know the exact weight but it's not the lightest bass. Well, obviosly not as heavy as some 70s Fenders. It comes with a nicest Wood&Tronics gigbag.
 16.
Bump for this beautiful bass! And boy do those W&T's rock! I can tell I own one:D
Thanks Brams77! W&Ts rule for sure! Did you tell 'em that you sold your Fodera to get the W&T?
 17.
Hey Margus, you've got great taste in basses.
Thanks!
 18. As I am going to order a new one with slightly different options I would like to sell my Wood&Tronics Alvistar 5-string bass. It's a custom made instrument made exactly by my specs and named after my name (Alviste - Alvistar). Here's the specs: Neck - 3 piece Flame Maple (neck-through) Fingerboard - Macassar Ebony (a very nice one) Position markers - Abalone Nut - Brass Tuners - Golden Fender style Gotoh Ultralites Frets - Narrow Body - Maple neck-through center block Body Wings - Swamp Ash Body Finish - Sonic Blue Nitro (the first solid color finish ever made by W&T) Pickguard - Vintage Pearl Bridge - Golden Hipshot A-style Pickups - custom made by Christoph Dolf of Bassculture (the guy makes pickups for Mr. Stanley Clarke) Preamp - ACG custom with two low pass filters and one filter for highs (works basically like Wal's preamp) Strap Locks - Golden Schaller Magnetic cavity cover The bass is completely new, never got out from my house. As we worked on my signature model for almost a year I tested several options on this bass and came to the conclusion to swap the pickups and pre to Bartolini and John East. The bass goes back to Enrico Pasini (W&T) who will make the changes. After that the bass is ready to go to the new owner. BTW, you have a possibility to pick your own pickups and pre before the mods have been done. These changes might affect the price though. This bass costs almost 3000 GBP. Now for sale for 1500 GBP plus shipping. You can get more information on W&T basses from http://www.wtbasses.net and http://www.bassdirect.co.uk. Feel free to ask more - [email protected].
 19. Hi everyone! I just made some quick sound clips to show how my new NYC 5 sounds. Sorry for sloppy playing! 1. Here's a clip with both pickups open in passive mode, no EQ: http://soundcloud.com/margusalviste/...-bothpupassive Sounds pretty Fenderish, isn't it? 2. Here's a clip with bridge pickup soloed in passive mode, no EQ: http://soundcloud.com/margusalviste/...ridgepupassive Well, a bit thin but adding some lows makes it much more pleasant. Once again, quite Fenderish. 3. Here's my NYC in active mode, both pickups open, no EQ: http://soundcloud.com/margusalviste/...thpuactivenoeq Sounds more like Fodera, isn't it? 4. And here's my NYC in active mode, both pickups open and I added a bit highs and lows while cut some passive tone: http://soundcloud.com/margusalviste/...bothpuactiveeq Makes it more soft and perhaps sound more like some expensive Fodera models? Well, any questions, comments?
 20. Wow, nice! I would love to have it! Perhaps a bit later if it will be on market at that time.
 21. Sonic Blue is the sexiest finish ever!!! And I love matching headstocks! Nice idea! And if you really want to keep that bass you don't have to be afraid of lower resale value too. And if you still want to sell it some day give me a call!
 22.
Well, the best compliment I could pay is that I would not have noticed until you posted this. So, no problem from me and I think you write very well. The English language is quite resiliant to a few liberties anway and does not need to be 100% correct for us to understand. I wouldn't worry about it at all... fire away and if we don't understand, we can always ask you to explain..no big deal. You probably write and speak a lot better than a few natives anyway
Thank you so much!
 23. Yeah, I think bassplayers should never follow the borders made by politicians and military guys. The bass players' community has pretty much the same values in every country. And the truth is - you can find bastards in any country and among every nation, culture or subculture. I personally cannot find any high end bass gear in my neighborhood (there's only 1 million people living in my country and perhaps 100 bass players) - everybody play cheap Vintage or Stagg basses. All the stores carry only cheap Chinese stuff. So for me or for the pro players the international society is the only chance to get decent gear and sell more expensive stuff. And I'm glad we have the forums like BC and TB in US. Hope we foreigners don't spoil your party!
 24. By the way, as English is a foreign language for me I feel a bit shy to use it. Just wanted to know how different is my use of language for the native speaker? I have never got any teachings where to put commas or separatrix for example. Is everything I've written so far understandable?
