  1. Is this why some builders need a pencil behind EACH ear?
  2. Hah: 4 females in my family and I’m the one who needs the most frequent loo breaks! nice bit of wood!
  3. So the next time someone complains that their bass plays like a bag of spanners, you can say no, it doesn't - but THIS one does!
  4. Becos comp do 3 (4?) compressors: at least 2 of them have attack knobs (they are very knobby)
  5. Darn autocorrect: of course you meant Fedora
  6. It looks like the same controls as the preamp box they came out a few years ago, by which I was moderately tempted.
  7. The artwork alone (it is hand painted, right?) must have been days! “obvs though, if it’s not true bypass, is it even worth using?” (Guitarist flounce)
  8. Wow - it's impressive. And the next guitarist to diss bass players will get the chance to see if their neck fits neatly inside that lower cutaway! Love the neck layers, and how perfectly the strings line up with them.
  9. Lovely noises, but I dislike the amateurish fonts and general precariousness of the expensive, glass bits on the top.
  10. Welcome from West Yorkshire!
  11. @Jabba_the_gut makes some titchy and light basses. Hope it heals as good as new, sounds awful, did anyone get done for it at least?
  12. Canada would be perfect, except that house prices have been on a trip to the Sun there for over a decade. You'd need to be minted to afford something in a city or suburb. But yes. Guns and Rights *shudder* I like TE stuff, would be good to try one out. Guess with current issues it might be a while! September they said. Which year, eh?!
  13. Yeah a lot of the demo playing was the sort of enthusiastic bashing even I can manage. Although I’d play DEW better than that… switches inside the pedal, oof, cheating or just lame? So fiddly, think that would annoy me as I love tinkering with settings.
  14. Ah, a song notable for distorted bass tones. Wait… How long til Mooer et al make a clone: it’s already the right size for them!
  15. Yeah - attention seeker. "Don't look at me, I'm shy!"
  16. Crikey. Glad you're ok. What you need is a replacement bumper made of that super hard woodtype you used on @fleabag's neck. That'll learn 'em. And fit some dispensers that launch that wood dust you need a mask for. (Yew?)
  17. Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people.
  18. At current prices of gas it might be cheaper to get some Deko’s on the wood burner!
  19. Happily there’s been a few at Glasto doing it: Oliva Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Kacey Musgraves. It’s an awful thing, and I’ve ignored no end of armchair critics decrying “millionaires complaining for attention.”
  20. I refer the honourable gentleman to the Stingray threads…
  21. Ooer - kinky Was it a good gig? Could you hear the instruments properly and not just noise?
  22. Possibly changing the source of electronics - I don't know where all the shiny gubbins come from, but there was bound to be upheaval due to supply chain problems. Maybe they make toast this time! Maybe they'll release a WB-100 X, then the WB-100 Ultra, then....
  23. Yes! Even if you hadn’t picked it up in months, disliked it and just wanted rid of it; a 10 minute clean and check of screws and tuners and so forth to make sure it’s not a total state is the least you can do.
