  1. Looking at the bottom of the article at the other links: I think it's his 4th one too. Surely there aren't any other non-production bass makers with that many?
  2. Bass of the week on No Treble, again!!
  3. For £8k I imagine you'd get more than one of the most specced basses Andy's ever had commissioned, using every clamp in the tri-county area....
  4. It does look very swish. For the non-editor people: how do you access Bass and Mid on the Sustain and Treble dials (is there a button below the ALT box at the top right?), and what are the 3 shapes for on the toggle in the middle?
  5. Bugger; just found out that a friend from my previous job died today. She was in ICU with Covid for a few weeks, and was even posting from there a few days ago, but didn’t make it out.

I’ve known her for ten years. She was funny, kind and leaves 2 young kids (7 and 4), as well as her poor husband.
I’ve said it before, but this year can do one.

T he next dumb sod who starts spouting Covid is a hoax, I swear I will smack them in the teeth. So sorry matey, wife works on a "Red" ward so she has seen this a good few times. Heartbreaking for you loosing a friend and for her family (as a dad that bit hits me hard)

It is such a shame, in the first  phase we were all told that is was the old and sick that were susceptable to this virus but it has become clear that anyone can succumb. My thought are for those two children.

Thanks all - Yes -  it's 8yrs since I left the firm she worked for, and although we did keep up on Facebook, especially once she had kids, we weren't close - seeing the hundreds of messages from close friends from home, work, school run etc. shows how much impact someone's passing has on those closest to her. A lot of her friends are similar: 35-45, young families.

She wasn't even 40 - it's bloody awful - you're right @Chienmortbb; it's getting less choosy about who it takes, and although she was overweight, she had at least as many years again ahead of her.

I lost an Uncle and his youngest (my age) son to Covid last summer - although my mum's been estranged from her entire family for the best part of 30 years, so it was slightly surreal.

  6. You mean each end of a hammer does different things?!
  7. I think it's blinkin' marvellous. Love the shape and the resin colour. Buckeye burl thingy is a bit busy for my eyes often - but it's a nice pattern. 6 strings is rather tame for you isn't it Binkster?
  8. Wireless with Now TV here. Upstairs where the kids and I do work it’s 50 download/20 upload. Downstairs in kitchen where I work when kids are asleep is 65 download. Router is in lounge. Annoyingly my Smart TV lost internet connection last year and it keeps turning itself off when connecting. Software update/reset of TV does nothing, neither does hardwire to router. Bah.
  9. No. It’s a Darkglass one. Really clever. https://m.thomann.de/gb/darkglass_harmonic_booster_2.0_bass_pre.htm
  10. My 3 1/2 yr old and I love Go Jetters, and the tune is especially cool. cbeebies has all the best theme tunes.
  11. Aha thanks. I just spent aaages trawling Search. I knew it was one of the overpriced Super Jazz marques
  12. Isn’t Valenti the brand with the conspiracy claptrap on the back of the headstock? D’you think it’s extra not to have that?
  13. Sandburgundy? “Stay classy San Diego.” Nice; the TM5s look lovely.
  14. It's amazeballs - the lengths people will go to make hard work for themselves. When will the toblerone be ready? I'm hungry just looking at all these triangular slices...
  15. Yeah - I missed it yesterday but thinking about it; seeing Neil pounding away up there would have been a bit dusty for me. *sigh*
  16. And about £1,200 cheaper than the new price range announced....!
  17. Crikey - That's crackers. I've noticed the same with Dingwalls too -sadly - as I have been hankering for a Combustion 6 since the time they were first rumoured (2018?)
  18. Oh we have some Becos lovers on here: search the threads and @them. I’ll have a look too
  19. Hey - we'll be shifting back to lbs soon on our way to demi-bushels. We don't need no fancy decimal measurements now we're free! /sarcasm I guess if they were fairly light to begin with, there's only so much you can take off. Got to keep looking innovative/busy.
  20. I didn’t even need to tag you; the spidey-sense was tingling...
  21. EHX tri-parallel mixer. S’what you wanna add in there.
  22. Wow - that's a feature set and a half, loving the little sliders and buttons on the side, so versatile.
  23. You said neck carving was satisfying out loud! *cringes as a large sack of potatoes is lobbed down the basement stairs by MrsAndyjr1515 with instructions to get that lot done by teatime*
