Plays like: Butter, Margarine, Other spread. Djents: Y/N Mwah: Y/N

Or perhaps they have no intention of playing them outside the home? Is it mandatory?

She’s pretty amazing. Always has been proper rawk!

Trace watts rather than TC ones!

Now now. Let's not get the thread locked...!

Plus desperation to feel included in something - given that most of their neighbours are generally disinclined towards them. Can you imagine an Asia Minor/Middle East song contest?!

How much did Eurovision make from the texts and app votes? Surely some of that goes to the host to fund the event?

Where did we all start this journey from?

I started aged 19 at Uni, in 1995, a year after getting a guitar (ssshhh). I bought a Yamaha RBX260 (or such) - P pickup, bright red, lovely neck. I bought a Trace Boxer err 25? combo as it was on offer at Sounds Live in Newcastle where I was at Uni. It sounded ace - just loud and noodly. I would also plug into the Zoom 4040 I had for the guitar and make all sorts of odd noises. Ah happy days. -
We still won't know which Bass is best for Metal. The new Ibanez triplecut SGXLPM39000XRT+ will have a neck so thin you need an electron microscope to find it, but will come in 42 luxury finishes.

I like the eq switch on the Battalion very much: it makes it pretty versatile. What’s the range on the comp and gate like for one dial each?
-
Ooh nice. Like the switches too.

Selling my 12 inch midi scale bass as I can’t get on with the 3lb weight in my 7 minute free improv indie gigs. Will trade for a 9 inch micro scale. Fingerboard must be concave, flat isn’t flat enough.

The top horn is a bit of an acquired taste - but I've never (ever) read a poor review of one, the Fretless versions do seem to be pretty much the top of everyone's pile, and the finishing on all of them is out of this world - even on sellers' phone cameras they look the business. Hope he and his wife enjoy a well-earned retirement!

I might be alone but Ged’s tone on Hold Your Fire is my most favourite (followed by the grindy noodlings of Signals)

NBD! Dingwall DBird Standard... is it blue or is it purple?!
Daz39 replied to cetera's topic in Bass Guitars
Yes; their finisher/painting person (Paul?) is amazingly creative. Sheldon bigs him up whenever he FB posts a new finish. I have also not been a fan of the ‘Bird shape but the 5 string D Bird looks amazeballs.- 33 replies

Noice. I am patiently awaiting the coincidence of a Combustion 6 and sufficient funds to purchase* *Halley's Comet may appear first...- 33 replies

Hah. Wait until the tactic becomes: 'Fine. Don't sell it, I'm not bothered really.'

I'm sure he makes a decent wage from the Stones Tours though, as did Ronnie before becoming a real member. I dunno - on the one hand it sounds tight that Darryl is only paid for his time, but most of the reputation comes from the early songs before he was on board, and most of the sales since are in a large part based on that early reputation. I'm sure he is paid handsomely and is (on reflection) pretty happy to have a permanent spot in the band.
-
Yep - you'll not be living that one down; it may even come back in slightly terse conversations with in-laws when you mistakenly think you've bested them in a field of expertise like gardening, crockery collecting or having a room for best.

You mean you didn't immediately crush the box and then put it at the bottom of the recycling box? FAIL!

Oooh.

"I swear the ebay ad said 'keyring sized.' I know £39 was a lot to pay for a keyring, but I was determined to win and you know how it gets in the last minute...'
-
So if it's standard Amazon style packing, you'll discover that the Amp is a keyring sized version
