  1. Ooooh nice. I even liked the guitar synth!
  2. It looks neat - yeah, it's a bit like a Fly Rig in a pedal. Or a more featured preamp. Think I'd get bored of clicking the options on and off though!
  3. ooh, very clever. Can you do the same for all the giant oversized pedals out there then: all the Deluxe Tech21 pedals (how big do they need to be?!), then there's the newer TC Electronics pedals... and...
  4. So £2k then. Yipes!
  5. I dislike the fonts, and that marketing piece was highlighted by someone far too enthusiastic - but I do like the look of the amp. The visible tube thing is a bit cheesy though.
  6. Both safe for now then: £1,069!!
  7. Think of piano strings.
  8. How many replies on that group until growl or heft is mentioned, followed by Class D is weak!
  9. Yeah I know - Neuro App and all that; buy the Gemini and get the Mercury and the Vertigo etc. available to program... But midi- and app-phones like me would want to judge it on features per box. The One Series do look nice though.
  10. Just got the SA email with the NAMM release of the pedal - so it's the Spectrum octave/filter/noisy thing, with another pedal for Synth to come. Looks nice, obvs need the Neuro App to make it really versatile, but still - good work. Bob and Jesse are pretty darn clever.
  11. Angel of Death - Slayer Angel of Death - Thin Lizzy
  12. I hate the Beatles too!!
  13. Yes, back with Bass Direct (after that pause)
  14. I’ve been without a Bass Amp for about 3 years. I’ll wait!!
  15. I was waiting for a new topic as I couldn’t see how to create one on my phone! looks ace (the V2) and also the A/O. Perhaps I can get an M900 cheapish now then
  16. Talking Heads - More Songs about Buildings and Food.
  17. Very large too. I do like the design, but yeah - pricey and not overly-featured.
  18. Yes - whilst stating your budget is often a recipe for being sold something (cars!) - you would, in somewhere like Bass Direct, be able to choose from about 80% of the stock in there - with several dozen in the £2.5 to £3k bracket and in a range of styles and sounds. Just make sure you play them through either a fairly neutral sounding amp or the closest available one to yours (otherwise this thread will turn into 'what Bass and Amp should I get for £4k?')
  19. Yeah - if I knew exactly what I wanted i'd be looking at an ACG or an Alpher. Failing that i'd spend a morning noodling at Bass Direct and then decide on something snazzy, Mayhap a Roscoe, Dingwall or Spector. Mmmm bass.
  20. EHX don't 'alf churn out the pedals - and they are all usually cool too. Love the design.
  21. Nah - that's the cigar your marvellous wife has ordered for you to celebrate your various No Treble successes (we can always hope, right!)
  22. Nobody tell him about tone woods then!! Srsly though, if he thought it worked for him then it did - most of the hardware stuff has more than a pinch of psychosomatic benefit about it. Still awaiting mine - currently says I'll get it by the 30th.
  23. I loved the show: Tina was great. It told the right story; a history of bass on modern music, like the drum show did. i was unnerved by the clip of Bernard though. Amazing playing but that was his final gig...
  24. Great Scott!! I was impressed by and enjoyed his enthusiasm for music and drumming, and what a selection of interviewees!
