  1. There are wiring diagrams and advice on the Talkbass Dingwall thread about changing pickup selection options. (Just to help the GAS along). It certainly has a 'look' esp. with the DG-pedal knobs.
  2. The vintageburst on the D-Bird is amazing; but it's a 6er Combustion I want. Mmm So nice. Am loving all the new colour finishes they came out with - there's one for NAMM with a white back and coloured top that is just ridiculous. I don't know how much they pay the person who designs and develops the finishes, but they need a raise!
  3. For the best info, including regular answers from SA staff; go to the Source Audio Sorceror's thread (part 3 now, I believe), on TB. There are some advanced users of the Hub and Midi and things I can't even imagine understanding.
  4. Agree with above: James Blunt is refreshingly aware of his appeal, completely self-deprecating, and perfectly willing to stand up to trolls. Yeah - his music is not my thing, but he's a good egg. Metallica (more specifically Lars and James), have always been a testing pair, although to be fair, I kind of agree about their Napster stance. (Napster? it's so long ago I can't recall if that's what it was now...)
  5. V.excited about the Dingwall Namm sneak peeks. Especially #10. *twitches*

  6. Depends. I sold an amp to a BC user and sent it to London - I luckily had oodles of bubblewrap and cardboard to keep the valvy goodness safe. I sold a cab collection as buyer asked to come pick it up from an hr away. I would have couriered that if I could find a decent box. Were I selling something with a neck - tricky. Would prefer collection as some couriers can't even deliver a paperback without damaging it. I suppose you can always post a pedal!
  7. I’m sure i read it on talkbass. Either it’s a joke or not. but it’s great to see demand for Dingwalls at such a level that lefties are now viable.
  8. The irony of this is that Sheldon Dingwall is left-handed so can’t properly play the instruments he’s been making for years. (I believe that’s right anyway)
  9. I sold a 1x15 TE when i sold my AH250 as they were overkill. as for the transit; jinkies.
  10. I did have a hankering for one of the Elfs plus a 2x8 cab they now do - but have you seen the prices?! Are they made in Antarctica and shipped via canoe?!
  11. I've been having a rabbit hole journey through Spotify this year to all the bands I listened to a little/not enough during my Uni days in the late 90s. Dinosaur Jr, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, The Connells, The Breeders, Fastball. And then other era-music I have been getting back into: Jethro Tull (Heavy Horses!), Dire Straits. As for new (to me) bands that I ought to have listened to years ago or are newish: The Tragically Hip, Rheostatics (quite odd), Future Islands.
  12. He sure does have Yamaha build him some nice kit!
  13. OK, ignore me I made it up!!! I can’t keep up with the mods people are doing.
  14. We all had a mate like this at school - annoying git that could do literally anything without trying. *although similarly we all had one who claimed they could do anything but were distinctly average...
  15. Yes; NG and Combustions from ‘16? onwards I think you can make them 3x without routing. I’d still have the AB1. Mmmmm
  16. Follow the playlist and then add any track you want to it- it should work.
  17. What does the Hazarai bit do?
  18. Same reason most new items released get sold: loads of people want one, some decide not for them and they're moved on. Mmm - it's so tempting, all these DGs - I might tell myself to wait until one of the smaller M500 (?) come up. I don't need 900 watts for bedroom playing... I do not...
  19. Now that is nice. Vaguely reminds me of an ASAT.
  20. Ooh - more vicarious satisfaction.
  21. Peel off the plastic ourselves? Oh Ambassador, you spoil us...
  22. Nice looking slab: lots of good talk about the JB bass. *must resist*
