Just when you mistakenly think society has progressed sufficiently for us to be worthy of meeting our interstellar neighbours...
It's so annoying and frustrating that people think this sort of behaviour is still acceptable - so much intolerable behaviour is completely normalised - I despair of what it will take to shift this mindset.
Is it? I thought it was one of these complicated ones that needed a special adapter and messed up your pedalboard power. Might be another one then. Sorry!
I think it's commercially unwise to release the Ultra AO yet - the regular one's not been out long enough. Gotta maximise the upgrades!
Cab and smaller compressor that works on 9v would be good, spose the third could be mundane, like an etched-design AO, or a rack-mount for the Amp.
I had no doubt Sheldon would like it: he is very ok and happy for his Ding owners to experiment. Go to TalkBass and see the array of pickup up mods that users on there get up to - he's shared technical specs and info to help them work out what exactly they are replacing and what change X or Y would mean.
The difference is that Thomas Moore is long dead and his actions gone. POC suffer very real discrimination right now. It's not that long since segregation etc.
The flag (even though it's not actually the flag the Confederate Army used (there are many versions)), is used as representation by a vocal minority of white southerners as a symbol of their superiority and a return to the old ways (The south will rise again, and all that cr*p). They try to defend it with 'Heritage' and 'History' etc. but most of these idiots still think they didn't lose first time round.
It's a very real and very racist symbol of oppression and has no place in modern society - nor do the statues of the traitors (at least not in public - in a museum would be useful - although given the whitewashing of many history textbooks over there, many people probably believe the slaves came here to fulfil the American Dream.)
Elitism is a big thing: go to TB and there's no end of 'it's not for real musicians'.
I see nothing wrong with TAB. If you listen to the song you get the rhythm, and once you work out the pattern of the notes you can amend the fingering positions the TAB gives anyway, to suit your playing (e.g. I don't like open notes, they confuse my fingers.)
Hah - yeah. I was typing on the phone, while walking about, so it may have been too succinct. It's annoying when you press slightly too much of a finger on it and it opens the thread title option - which takes you to the first post. Gah!
That advice was for the mobile version btw. On desktop, i think clicking the thread title accesses the pages and option to select first unread post and the latest post.
I have a THX, it's lovelyband surprisingly loud with the clever science. 6 OD/Dist, clean, flat and bass settings, and basic effects, headphone in etc.
