  1. That could be a whole thread of local renamings. Yorkshire has a few good ones.
  2. Except for Cullercoats, which must be where they’re all hiding!
  3. There used to be 8 guitar shops and 7 purveyors of hiking/outdoor gear when I was there in the late 90s. Wednesdays involved skipping morning lectures, then climbing at the sports centre in Eldon Square, then lunch in Trillians which became stay until closing...
  4. It's so good, even the Aussies nicked it for one of their cities!
  5. I went to Uni there; great place. Trillians all afternoon followed by the now defunct Mayfair for a night of rocking at the weekends. Ah happy days. And the Metro is brilliant for getting around too.
  6. That’s utterly gorgeous. Worthy tribute indeed.
  7. I love George’s voice, but he isn’t what I’d call versatile (yet). He’s just a great voice and a great backing band.
  8. We watched Sam Ryder too. This followed last year’s iteration with Olly Alexander (was that the first in this version? Previous years have had a gig at err the Brixton Academy?) Yep; lots of snatches of hits, cool cameos (Justin Hawkins is always Justin Hawkins), and I did not know Sam could play guitar until he started wailing away. Great backing band. He’s got a good voice for the Swifty hits, it was far better than the GB News style indulgent claptrap of the Manford and Chums show before.
  9. Woah, derail, but that is gorgeouseous!
  10. The Ibanez BTBs are wider necked, I believe.
  11. A metric drumkit? Or a tantric one?
  12. No Ultra-Marathon gigs booked? - I thought they were popular!
  13. Oh that fretless is a lovely colour.
  14. It won’t work because we’ve lost the correct number twice so far!
  15. I think this thread is a perfect example of the "Stop Posting Without Reading" thing...
  16. The Brum store is a proper cavern, but they’ve suffered by being on the edge of the CAZ (same with Guitar Guitar out past Five Ways.)
  17. Good point. I guess they don't want to be confusing people the same way they did with the Hendrix Strat and Cobain Jagstang thingies.... wait...
  18. I went peak British Reserve.
  19. I mean the colour scheme is a little indiscrete for sure - but that pickup/preamp combo and that neck, 'Cor Matron...' And it's not even as much as I was expecting for a US-made signature (it's bad that I was expecting it to be £2k+).
  20. Rather have the 500w version with it’s better features then!
