RHCP - Return of the Dream Canteen - brand new album. It's pretty good, better than their last couple of outings. First listen and def. a few decent songs on there straightaway, will listen a few more time to get into it (it's a long album!)

Wow! Ace day and story. Imagine if you’d said in the booth: heard this one? And plonked out one of his lines… ”s’alright,” he says, “geezer wrote a nice line.”

How about 'Really Rather Happy Jack' or 'Delighted Jack' etc.? When do we get to see pics of it in its natural environment under disco lights? -

That's so nice @Happy Jack will need to upgrade the adjective prefix in his username... -
You are right about that bit - just look at what some UK and US universities are doing with their neoliberal bent - removing any arts/humanities degrees that don't generate enough money and becoming profitable business schools, with alowance for science where they can pull in massive grants and sponsorship.

They just need to print off a chart that lists Kgs against Lbs oz - if healthcare can manage it for baby/young child checks....

At least being a leftie it’ll be easier to spot. Hope it finds its way to you! -

Fakenham! I used to live near there! /random aside I do love these gear relays though. -
CFO: Look at this training budget? It's so high. What happens if we train all these staff and they leave? CEO: What happens if we don't train them and they stay?! I started Uni in 1995 - I think I was pretty much the last year's entry of zero tuition. And the same for grants, which part paid my accomodation. My Dad took out some War Bonds (remember those?!) and the ridiculously generous 12 1/4% interest paid for my food and the rest of my rent. I took the maximum loans (which I only finished paying off 2 years ago at fairly low interest) and never had to work during Uni. I had it easy!! I remember those careers quizzes - we had a whole morning to do one with hundreds (probably not that many) of multiple-choice questions. Mine told me to become a Teacher or an Accountant. School and Family basically pushed me into Finance. I hated it, and would much rather have done Geology or Marine Biology or something fun.

Which is why the common retort is Ok Boomer. My parents, who I did think of as sensible, rounded people, are a bit like this now in their 60s. "In my day..." I work in FInance - and at least training contracts for Accountancy Qualifications: AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, etc. are common place, whereby studiers of any age and stage can get the high cost of study material, classes and exams covered, some places even give study leave too, in exchange for staying for several years after completion.

Yep - Daughter #2 (Year 😎 just had careers session at school. She listed her interests as running and watching Police Interceptors. So the system told her she ought to consider being an Athlete or a Police Officer. Err ok... that's totally why we have 1 million astronauts, 5 million firefighters and several million Vets in the UK...

I’ve solved it: It was the Truss Rod Channel, in the basement, with the Levelling Board! *turns cards over* D’oh! I dunno: can we get to the design leap of neckless guitars; coz that seems to be where all the problems are!! -

You’ll have to break out the angel hair pasta to shave off a bit more, to get that weight down! -

The thing is: there isn't a police office somewhere with a big pinboard on the wall and dozens of photos and snippets, with string joining them up to his mug shot. Which is effectively what we've go there. Often the police in various places are dealing with isolated crimes of his, that are only slowly being added together. Until he's arrested/charged with something, progress will be slow and disjointed. possibly even after that too. Most of his crimes are not immediate or violent, requiring prompt response. This is why fraud and other crimes of finance/impersonation can go unpunished for so long. /Obvious bit

Well that's no distance at all. That's just Outer Keighley Gah! Even the guitar is nice!

I only live in Halifax. It was seriously worrying how close they were! I do like thaqt design - different, but still classy - (like the Nordstrand Acinonyx). Nice finishes and look too. Hmm....

Are they not still in Saltaire/Shipley?

Yeah: Trey Gunn only needed 10 strings…
