1. Many thanks for this post on the Double Four case. Just bought one and it fits perfectly and still at a great price. Dave
2. Bought a very nice bass from Jazzbass76 this morning. Pleasure to do business with, great communication and really helpful with the delivery of the bass (in person). Would happily buy from in future. Dave
3. Just bought bought a practice combo from S’manth. Excellent condition and a great person to have a chat with. Highly recommended. Dave
4. Is this still available? Very interested if it is.
5. Epifani UL502 600w dual channel amp. Weight 16lbs. Epifani UL212 400w with soft cover. I’ll through in a new gator case for the amp if you need one. I bought these from the Bass Gallery when I lived in Wales then moved to London to a tiny flat so it went straight into storage. The amp is as new straight from the box I’ve used it twice at home. The cab is in the same condition both have been kept in storage with my other basses. Will split if you want just the cab or amp. Pick up only Wimbledon SW19 cash on collection sorry no trades Dave
6. Pretty much brand new Taylor Guitar with shop tags etc was over £1000. I bought it in 2001 new and its been out of the case about 5 times I was misguided on how good I thought I'd be. It is totally mint and includes the case. You are welcome to try it. It's a lovely sounding thing comes with all the candy plus extras (Capo, Strap etc around £60's worth). £570
7. I've got one I thought it would be handy for chucking in the boot security wise rather than loading a cab and amp on the back seat. To be honest I never used it again after I tried it out I found the sound a bit uninspiring and would rather take something heavier that I enjoyed playing.I thought it was a bit underpowered as well. Its at the side of the chair and I plug it in occasionally when I think I need to buy an fx pedal after half an hour playing with the COSM version built into it I decide I don't need one. Regards Dave

9.
hi You need Quicktime installed to listen to this track try and install of and let meknow if it works Cheers M
Ah thats better Quicktime worked. For something that is mainly improvised I thought it was great. What you thinking of doing with it, some parts made me think thats nice I'd take that bit and develop it (if I was able to play it that is). Thanks for posting it Regards Dave

Sorted

I'd like the xciter please if you will post it Regards Dave
I've advertised this before I'm on my phone so can't post a link or pic but it's an Olympic White jonny Brooke jazz bass with a rosewood board a low action and spot on intonation. It has one more fret than a standard jazz and chrome hardware. It's in great nick apart from two holes in the pick guard where I marked out for a pup ashtray cover. I have snapped a wire and resoldered it wrong so it sounds like the tone control is always on. I can't fix things like this I'm rubbish and fed up of it tbh. So it's £40 collected if any one wants it. I'm on a bad run at the mo, I bought a pedal from basschat that broke a week later too so if anyone wants an aphex base xciter for a tenner with a dodgy jack then that's going too.
11. Mike I'd like to hear this but there is just a report button no download button. I could listen to your other stuff which I enjoyed but not the solo Sei. Regards Dave
12.
Fodera Victor Wooten Re-issue Bass Is it just me or that bass really not a looker. I'm sure it sounds and plays amazing! But that laminate top with the normal neck and main body really do clash, or is it just me?? Jake
The rear pic looks a bit like an Ikea wardrobe I have, I think it was called Wootensborg or something. Dave
13. 2nd dibs Dave
F. me. A Shuker for a price I could justify spending on a bass. Not that I'm buying now, but my eyebrows did raise when I saw the price.
14. I wold be interested in the footswitch but I can see that it may be more appealing to others as a package. If you do decide to sell the footswitch let me know. Great amp though Cheers Dave
15. Nik whats the method of payment Paypal or cheque can you PM me the details please Dave
16. Thanks Its the usual thing I was too impatient and bought one from the Gallery (a 502) then there's yours and a 902 on here now (should have waited). Now I've got it I wouldn't like to sell it, it is lovely. Good luck with the sale they are usually snapped up on here from my reading of all the previous threads. Regards Dave
17. Thanks Gareth and Chris the magazine article was the one I read too, which made me think about the PS600 although I am swayed by the potential of the UL502 in terms of sound changes and the price difference is not so great between them. I think I've read every thread on here with Epi in the title and did notice that the the cabs are used with other amps such as yourself Chris, this is why I thought of sticking "or what?" on this post. I am really grateful for the replies I've narrowed it down to one of the Epi amps at least but it is worth thinking about something from Markbass. Its got to be soon though I just received by new cable from Dave (OBBM) ( I swear it came next day- lovely quality) and I've nothing worthwhile to plug into it on one end anyway. Regards Dave
18.
The power stages are different too, one's a switch mode and the other's a class D, not too sure exactly what that means. I found the PS that I tried lacked the depth and sparkle that the 502 has. I actually bought the UL902. The PS range looks a bit odd, not that's necessarily that important.
Thanks I haven't really considered the 902, to buy new the 502 is about my limit but the words "depth and sparkle" is what I'm after and sways me towards the 502. Cheers Dave
19.
Best to try them side by side, but I found the two to sound way different, the 502 is the better one.
Thanks, I read a magazine review that they were basically the same but the PS has less features for less money hence my interest, but I guess there is a little bit of sales talk written in.
20. In a bit of rash weekend I bought TimmyC's Epifani 2x12 when really I was doing nicely saving up for finishing off my loft conversion. I'd like a better amp for the cab mines a bit of a wuss. I stuck an ad on here first seeing if anyone perhaps wanted to sell me a Epifani amp but it seems everyone is happy with theirs at the moment which is hopefully a good sign. So I'm thinking of buying one from the Bass Gallery I can just about afford it if I lay off the DIY (no problem there). The question is, am I just being influenced by the brand by wanting an amp to match the cab. I love the sound of the amp that crisp clean sound just does it for me, however I've only heard the 502 and wondered if there is much difference between it and the PS600. To further complicate matters there is an offer from a fellow Basschat member for an EA iamp 800 which I also like but have not played one through an Epifani cab although I'm sure I could try it out.I know I could go to the Gallery and try a few things out but I'm just as likely to come away with nothing when I start trying a few different things.Hell of a ramble this I know and if anyone wants to offer amplification councilling I'm listening. Thanks Dave
21. Just bought a mint Epifani cab off Tim. Great person to deal with. If you're picking anything up from Tim and you find yourself up a lane that looks like the set from Robin Hood you need the other end of the lane unless your in a 4x4 of course (Darn Satnav). Dave
