1. Nice joining of the body pieces too. everything I have seen of these is just utter c**p. Why oh why do people buy this garbage? Maybe it's his demo on you tube.

3. stinks of "scam". And I'm SURE I've seen it before?
4. Ibanez MC294 from 1980 - difficult to collect tho. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ibanez-Musician-Bass...1QQcmdZViewItem
5. open strings - u gotta love 'em.
6. don't. higher voltage is almost ALWAYS a no no. Way too risky.
7. watching with REAL interest. Especially interested in the passive crossover version - my BFM build is now on hold pending the results of this thread - no pressure then
8. My first bass - a Westone Thunder 1A. Some bugger nicked it over 20 years ago. If I ever find them I will kill.
9. showing the first 2 digits gives enough info to date the instrument, without advertising a full valid serial number for someone to copy. (he explains this in the description?) a bit OTT for a pretty standard non vintage instrument, but each to their own I guess.
10. eh? where? it's hiding
11. Saxophone - started on Clarinet at the tender age of 8, progressing to sax at about 13. Guitar - always loved playing, having never been without one for the last 30 years. Strictly rhythm tho, I don't want to make it cry or sing ... :brow: Keys - had piano lessons for a couple of years, and played synth for a band in the late 80's. Undoubtedly THE best instrument to help improve your overall musical understanding.
12. Get Machines on the job! you listening Matt?
13.
I really want to know how this thing sounds, because if it's nice i have no real reason to say no to buying one...
100% in agreement.
14. ooh. I think that IS pretty
15. Such a shame this SB1000 is missing all its electrics. If anyone's got the pickup and circuit board it could be a real bargain. Interesting ibanez studio bass here
16.
this is jap... but it ain't crap!! my Tokai Jazz for sale in the basses section, and on ebay sorry for the shameless plug! D
didn't I already say this?
17. I think some of the criticism is a bit harsh. The Pat Hughes series of lessons weren't bad - he was fairly on the ball, and his series was with presenter Adam Payne (??) not some rock chick.
18. being repeated in the mornings as we speak on "rockworld" sly channel 368. Well - to be precise they're currently running the recorder, guitar and drum lessons. Not seen the bass or vocal ones as yet.
19. Tokai Jazz Sound Yet another one of my favourites - again certainly not Jap "c**p". Maybe I should just start a thread dedicated to these
20.
There's a couple of Aria Pro's on there. I'm not looking anymore, I've bought 8 basses in two weeks.....
Aye, there's that SB1000 finishing very soon but at a start price of £360 I'm not surprised there have been no bids.
21. Fix. I want a re-count. It should have been me. There was chalk dust. It's not fair. Seriously - congrats 2wheeler.
22. aww bo**ocks
23. Westone 1A leftie here although a "pitch change button" is a new one on me. And a personal favourite of mine, although not technically Jap "cr*p" as such here
24. Jon, have you any ideas on this (in my neck of the woods with this one ) ? It doesn't actually say it's Jap, but it looks quite tasty
25.
Hey Barney, we recently got a pair of these from Thomann which are great. Bought some floor stands and put one either side of the stage on auto. They go through a cycle of about 6 colours and look great - better than traffic lights. And as people have mentioned they don\'t get hot. Good old Thomann...
Excellent thanks. I've just had a look at those stands and think I'll pop two of those on the order too.
