It would look better to me if the rear of the body was blue and the currently blue parts were vintage amber tint.

Its both.pretty ugly. If it wasnt for the fact that somebodys scribbled on it/the neck and body visually disagree with each other/the headstock looks unfinished/the pickups look like the ones i had in my Marlin Sidewinder/its got a bigger problems with knobs than Katie Price /the scratch plate looks wrong,and it probably costs more than a royal wedding,it looks ok.

They are basses,you do'nt need reasons.

Heres mine. Jim Deacon Thingray. £80 ? No name,Mazetti ? £50 ish,new.through neck,now fretless. Italia Modulus Tipo 3,now with Epi EB0 pickup,Wilkinson soapbar,Precision scratchplate.

Here it is.

4 knobs.3 have center notch.The one that doesnt is master volume.The 2 tone knobs are the rear two.the remaining front knob is pickup blend,forward on this knob is neck pickup,notch is both,back is bridge pickup.

Hmmmm,wonder if the Tele bass will get that colour.

I had 3 white Strat knobs,now i've only got two.................bugger.

Well,i looked at it for a bit (13 months) and whipped the tools out,it now looks like this. 1 precision scratchplate,1 Epiphone EB-0 pickup,1 Wilkinson soapbar pickup,1 Precision pickup cover later,and TA-DA.

Does this count ?

Too late anyway,i got impatient,and found out that an EPI EB0 in the bridge position is good,but as a replacement for a Precision pickup.................it's nail your feet to the floor time. **No Precision basses were harmed in this exercise,but an EPi EBO was.** P.S. 18 Months,thats quick for me.

I just re-discovered this post,how does the bridge pickup sound ?

My influences bass YES Gibson EB-3,Andy Fraser - Free,do i have one no.

I've not really got on with active basses,or ones with switches on.(exceptions being Alembic/JD/Wal)
