    Slightly different routs for Mudbucker Tele bass = rout a bit further forward than is usual for a Precision,going by this pic,also the front of the body would be flat,with no arm contour.I think that the Mudbucker Tele basses were all 3 bolt neck plates too,mine was.Earlier style Tele bass,looks like it has a smaller rout for pots.

    I think that the Tele bass,would have had a slightly different rout for the pots. My opinion is that it started out as a Precision,and had the Mudbucker added later on.

    I've got a black and yellow stripey jumper,and used to have a Ibanez Musician fretless.I also used to live 4 doors down from where he used to live.Spooky.

    In one of the bands that i occasionally dep for,the bass player has the same head with a matching 4x10 ? Marshall cab,using a Jazz bass,his sound certainly cuts through. Add a 2x10 or 2x12 cab ?

    At 4 ohms you will be getting 300w,with an extra cab you will get the full 450w.I use both of my cabs seperately for different gigs,the 1x15 does not cut through in a loud band gig,the other cab does.

    OLP............sorry.There are a few Stingray lookalikes,but i do'nt think that they will be soundalikes.I have one myself,and while it plays nice,it does'nt sound like a Stingray.

    Not quite sold on maple boards,but thanks anyway. I used to have a Wetone Thunder 1A,and loved it.I would quite like another one,but Howard,Bass Doc has come to the rescue once again,and is going to build me what i wanted in the first place.A Jazz fretless.

    That would have been the G2 (stagg) fusion fretless,tried it,unimpressed.

    Im not aware of any Fender P with both types of pickup fitted at the same time.

    The search is being widened to include non-Jazz types,not a P type though,budget £250-300 ish.Any clues ?
