  1. I know there are some right clever peeps on here, colour blind electricians, etc, So.. can anyone sort this out ..? We're after making a poster for the band. Though we should have done this 18 months ago, no one has the talent. We just did a gig last night, 16th, and we were so effing brilliant they want us back for New Years eve, but would like some posters. The keys/synth fruitcake wants to put ( see attachments ) the afro and the raybans on the donkey. Is that possible ? TVM !
  2. You were lucky. We used to dream of owning a bike
  3. Seller doesnt want responsibility of shipping ? Buy it, or get over it and move on Too far to collect ? Get over it and move on
  4. Its a bit of a dead end job, but funeral directors have to make a living 😁
  5. Which 11-16 ? I have the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 in Nikon mount and its a beauty. Not ultra cheap at £450 give or take, but can be had used for £200, give or take. Works out at 16.5 - 24mm on a 1.5x crop Nikon
  6. I'd like to meet that dude and have a pint with him
  7. Have you tried AF fine tune on the Nikon body ?
  8. Yeah, i never thought about flash at concerts. Good point. I dont do concert photography, obviously. I would be using the best method to capture what i wanted, and no doubt i'd get ejected.
  9. Thats how VR was intended. Its not for a moving subject, but for a still subject using a slow shutter speed. VR helps when hand holding because its designed to help stabilise the camera/lens from user hand shake, not subject movement. Also, VR mechanics take some fractions of a second to kick in, so you have to wait before hitting the shutter, So its not that useful if you want to capture that facial expression that lasts a nano second. In fact, during a gig, i'd say VR was no help at all. Flash to stop action would be most useful, but i presume you'd already be using this.
  10. Why do people bother to type phone style text ? Is listing auctions an action that needs to be done pronto ? Why do these same morons shorten the word ' you ' to ' u ' but continue to type long words like disappointment and how much time have they actually saved by shortening a 3 letter word to 1 letter ? Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez
  11. Leslie Good name for a band, though - Peslie Speaker. !
  12. Lol !!!
  13. Might have been tempted to drill some holes in the plexi body, if i owned one.
  14. Charles Summerfield Limited , long since gone from the UK. Think they had some connection to Fujigen Gakki. @Bassassin will know in depth info Back in the 80's , a guitarist pal had a CSL strat copy and it was awesome.
  15. 16.2mm , so favours the neck position, which is where i had it. I cant be 100% but i think it was Schallers version of the Gibson EBO. Can be tapped Humbucking DC Resistance: 14 K Ohms Coils parallel: DC Resistance: 3.5 K Ohms
  16. A few years ago ( different band back then ) we were playing a poky pub called The Seacourt Hotel, at Botley, Oxford. We could hear some prune at the back shouting when the music had some quiet bits, but just ignored him because he was unintelligble. After getting no reaction, he wandered upto the rhythm git, and said in his shell like... " You're a c*nt mate " Cue fighting Dave, the demon devil drummer. He shouts out sumfing from behind his monster kit, and almost at the same, our voxist shouts out sumfing equally shocking, who believe it or not, was a fighting Gypsy nutjob, although a lovely bloke, and had been banned from every pub in the town he lived in, and suddenly the prune goes quiet. Later, punchy Dave remembers the guy from times previous, to do with work, and remembered the guy had a business and was fiddling the Taxman, so fighting Dave bubbled him to the aformentioned Govt. stinkpots dept. Andy the Gypsy nutjob, although a lovely bloke, and 2 hits Dave, decided that it wasnt prudent to slap him silly, so the Taxman was the result Oh how we chortled
  17. Got tatts but nothing bass related
  18. I've decided to turn the clock back tonight.
  19. I think Romney Marshes would be a more suitable venue, along with some concrete sandals
