  1. I also had the Superly, and mine was 99% brillant, but quite a few suffered from that high pitched digital clock whine, on one channel IIRC. Apparently there was nothing could be done. Possibly cheap Chinese components, but i bought mine 2nd hand so never got to debate with Ashdown about it. I also dumped the rediculous alloy outer casing. Save a fair bit of weight. Bill Fitzmaurice used to use one, or maybe still does
  2. I thought Peavey took over TE ? Anyways - Ashdown bargains ?
  3. Thats a fine looking axe right there, Rob. Great work
  4. Oooh, bargain. Cheers Pedro
  5. Its a shame Andertons dont follow the EBS policies.
  6. So Jaco did it Frank's way ?
  7. One more question .. The PA main/top end cabs are active, well one cab is, so it powers the other cab ( daisy chained ) The powered main/top cab also has a sub out socket, so one of the guys said we can run the sub off that sub out socket, but does that mean we'll have that powered cab powering the amp in the RCF sub ? I dont like the idea of one amp driving another amp.
  8. Thanks chaps - great info and yes, lobbed the funny looking plug off the end, and it the same colour coded wires as UK, so, blue / brown / green stripe. So yes, its earthed and slapped a 5 amp in as advised. Work out with the band planned for next week, so we'll see how the woofie beast behaves
  9. PS after speaking to Andertons, they said RCF usually put a UK mains cable inside, from the factory in Italy, but this one slipped through the net.
  10. Hi OB 1 No, not hard wired, so wondering if i can snip the useless plug off, and wire on a UK plug, with 13 amp fuse. I have UK IEC cable here but this one is quite a bit longer and i'd like to keep it
  11. Just received my new RCF 705 AS-ll and it arrived with a 16 amp, 2 round pin, mains cable. Anyone know what that's about ? I'd cut off the round pin and wire on a UK 3 pin, but a 16 amp fuse ? Weird
  12. Here's a message from last year on editing PM's and we were told not possible
  13. The edit button missing in my PM posts, and has been since the upgrade, so its not possible , in my case
  14. Complete fail on the attempt at humour in the description.
  15. Flash little oik. I've sent my colleagues round
  16. Ouch
  17. You missed a trick there, fishy mcfishface
  18. Couldnt agree more. Phenomenal tubbist.
  19. I believe the Acoustic 360 was a preamp into the 361 powered cab, giving 400 watts @ 4 ohm so could probably easily keep up with a 100 watt valve amp. That is, i should add, the revised 360/361 rig
  20. Get yer teef into this 12+ minute wotsit
  21. I was thinking of you maybe contacting Clive Button , one of the designers of trace amps back in the day, but i see you've had some good advice from Old Horsey. Then again, from my conversations with Clive when i was asking him about my GP11 Mk 5 combo, i believe he said he didnt design those models, or earlier, so maybe he came into the designs at the Mk 6, which i guess is no good to you either, if yours is an early model. Clive was helpful though in other ways. I was asking him about stuffing in a bigger amp and he said it wouldnt be problem, as the speakers in my 4x10 combo could take a lot more than the amps were rated at giving out
