  1. I guess Lee didnt post the bits to me as promised, so in the end i scooted off to a local nut n bolt supplier only 1/2 mile away and not only did he have the corrrect allen key grub screws for saddle height and the intonations screws, he supplied the grub screws in stainless and the other screws in zinc plated, which is a bonus over the mild steel originals which were rusting. The only parts he couldnt find were the intonations springs, but i found a bass bridge in one of my chest of draws and robbed the springs from that, so its job done The SB 900 bridge is now buffed and refitted.
  2. Thats just a small part of it. Its all the other gunk that makes the Ebay monster unattractive and has done for a few years now
  3. There's another odd thing, i have never seen that " snipe " tab ever on any Ebay auction, whether buy it now or otherwise. Is that a new thing ?
  4. S'right mate. Lefty is spot on in that its a cluster f*ck but Ebay has been that way since they become a big force.
  5. Perhaps it's a bit of a dog...
  6. Take some Marigolds. You dont know where he's been.
  7. If it's Buy It Now , it has tab next to it saying Buy It Now. There's no bidding on BIN. That has a bid on it, and no BIN tab next to it, so its an auction
  8. New strings always seem to be generous in their length ( ooer matron ) no matter which scale they use. A set of mediums scales for a meduim scale bass will be pretty generous
  9. Unlike my '82 Aria SB 900 which smashes in at 4.78 kg But, a monster wide 4" strap deals with that
  10. Why not give someone here the work ? Andy did these for my AJR custom @Andyjr1515
  11. Can be arranged, but for the beatings , you'll need proper training. How to avoid leaving bruises and stuff. You can practice on teebs first off , then we'll move on to adults
  12. Anyone know why i cant see Andy Travis posts ?
  13. Agreed. Even when a band emerges after a lot of hard work with ads, auditions , etc., it's like herding cats.
  14. Many artists have re-mastered their own work, for their own personal taste i presume, so i still think you're speaking for yourself when you say the beauty lies in the original. It surely depends on the individual and the owners of the music
  15. You're speaking for yourself, but cant speak for others. Who knows what someone else might want to do with them. Without the stems, there's zero options
  16. Possibly, but would they have been able to record the stems, or just the track as a whole ? An mp3 of a master is just an mp3. There's no stems to speak of so no re-mastering can be done
  17. Daevid Allen from Gong is out front ? There's another flying teapot i didnt know
  18. Oh well. There goes my Marshallmellow VB400. I'll be composting forthwith.
  19. Wowser - didnt know they were still going. Not seen them since the 70's either. Should be an adventure in Kent
  20. Definately remember Here & Now. They were a popular crew, also Hawkwind seemed to be at every festival back then. Also managed to get to Stonehenge , which i forgot about - i wonder why ?
  21. I always find the answer to not liking anyones sale or trade prices, is to not buy it
