  1. Yup, i was thinking right angles, and agree with your assessment of screw and glue being weak due to surface area. I would use some batten on the 4 right angle joints. Maybe that would be enough reinforcement. ? I'm looking at 18mm hardwood ply right now. I'm not good enough on a router to make accurate DT joints. Your alloy extrusions sound intersting There's no front or back to worry about
  2. Has anyone removed a TE combo head and stuck it in a case? It needs building from scratch i would imagine as the TE combo heads are wider than their solo head counterparts. If you built a case, can you show how it was done ? Chars
  3. The easiset way is to count with ' and ' in the timing. 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and <-- Ist guitar chord is here... 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and. <--- 2nd chord. So then you have the same timing for next chords on the ' ands' till the song kicks in
  4. And here we are at the top of the Nelson's Column. Get down Shep.
  5. We do this song and dont have any problems with the original studio version intro. It's not a complicated song. The trickiest bits are getting our rhythm git to remember on the 2nd verse there's an added D between the E and C when the vocals are going BaaaaaaaaaaaaayBeeeeeeeeeeeee. And that D slips in again between the E and C in the solo. And then there's that one odd A minor in the first verse after the solo, where the C is skipped , and so it goes from D to A minor instead of D to C.
  6. No one else has to like it but you. Carry on
  7. Absolutely top. JS has remained the wonderful human being he has always been, and that voice just stays as good as ever
  8. They also did the Big Block but the pickup was nothing like a P pickup https://bighouseguitars.com/products/2006-fender-mim-p-bass-big-block-inlays-black
  9. Chienmortbb member here does custom cables. Cand heat cables He bought up OBBM Dave's stock when he retired
  10. This might help once you have the amp out https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1084717/Trace-Elliot-Gp12-Smx-Series.html?page=21#manual
  11. As has been posted, there should be 4 plastic caps on each corner when looking down on the top of the combo There's 4 Philips screws under the caps. Just take these out, dont forget to unplug the speaker jack at the rear, then slide the amp out.
  12. Yes, now i have the fabtastic Lekato strap, but cash my way too , natch
  13. Great musos allround, but that drummist was magniff. During his ' piece ' it looked he may have had an extra arm, i swear.
  14. Added it to what Graham ?
  15. The whole band are a bunch of coolness Chris Barron is a bit of a character
  16. I think it's 4.30 Cracking zoom recording, during lockdown i guess. Marvellous left-hooker bassister Mark White left in 2022 i believe. Mark's cat makes an appearence at the end. Appreciated the music , obvs.
  17. Horrible news.😢 Giblin is in my collection because of his brilliant content on my Kate Bush CD's.
  18. - home use multi effect unit that comes with its own PSU. .... Check - modulation, delay, reverb ideally a few flavours of each - anything else is a bonus but not essential. .....Check - more than one effect on at a time, minimum of 2 but not necessarily fancy parallel blending etc ..... Check - tuner inbuilt is required.... Check - looking at a budget of under £200. Happy to go used ....Check - Id prefer twistable knobs but very simple digital UI would be fine. ....Check https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/474425-line-6-m13-line-6-ps-now-£150-freepost/
  19. Thats a very good point Ossy. It's 20mm padding which could be very useful
  20. Yup, the hole stitching diameter is 14.7mm And for @ossyrocks The measurement from hole centre to hole centre is 112cm. What leather there is after the holes is not relevant. 112cm is the minimum the strap will go, not 115cm. If you can live with an extra 2cm ( 3/4 " ) you'll be fine.
  21. My 3.5" strap is closer to 110cm than 115cm because.. see my post above
