  1. That effing strap twist alway gets me. I swear there's a strap consipracy going on, and the strap knows it winds me up. It's not like it's just one strap, either. I have around 4 and the cunning bustards all do it. Like bungee cords that always manage to hit you in the bluddy face, the strap twists out of sheer bluddy mindedness. Accidently kicking the muthas down the stairs doesnt help at all. They're so light they just shake it off. I may take my Black & Decker heat gun to the next one and see how it likes that bad boy
  2. Gotta agree with the consensus here. You did a great thing by playing at last years festy, and animals, like children, always need our help, so big back pat for that. Forget the poster. Its just getting you in a frazzle over not much at all. You can do better and more important things with your time
  3. Yup, just buy buy buy, wrap in plastic, stick it in the loft. Take it down when you fancy a look and wonder why you bought it
  4. I have an auto too, just chopped it in for a manual and it made no difference to me, as i still brake with my right foot, manual or auto
  5. Nice , very nice I'm starting to take practice shots at my piggybank with my hobnail boot
  6. I've tried playing the wrong way round, and the feel and touch is non existant. They might as well be someone else's arms. Try driving your car and braking with the other foot from one you normally use. On a stranger note, my pal plays right hand basses turned round for a left handed player, but leaves the strings as they are, so E is at the bottom.
  7. All looking good chief. Its poodling along nicely
  8. Same bass, and he didnt get any interest at the lower price, so not sure what the expects at the higher price
  9. Er...... yes thats true. Now put the pencil down slowly and take 3 steps back, hands on head
  10. Yes, it's laughable at how some drawing programs and a printer can work wonders
  11. Working for me Andy. I'm now waiting for the motley crew to tell me to radius it instead
  12. They wouldn't put screws in for height if they glued the pickup in. Its probably just tight in the routing. Wood may have swollen slightly over the years
  13. Didnt another well known cab builder make switchable 4/8 ohm cabs ? Schroeder maybe ? Cannot remember the name
  14. Dr beaflag recommends an Elf, a Wingbass and a PJB C4 lite. You can carry that lot in a Sombrero. Job done Happy days Tele
