  1. It needs darting , stuffing, and hanging on a trophy wall. " Looks like a FENDER, so i'm told " Of course it is sir.
  2. If they tried, they could get that bridge pup closer to the bridge
  3. Could be one of the other keys Tandy played. There's a few to choose from
  4. My colleague, psychologist Dr beaflag , recommends a course of bass buying and a new rig. Plus a few beers
  5. Atlansia Concord Multi-2. Beautifully bizarre , but YMMV
  6. Me too - though mine's gone to the great bass sale in the sky. Set neck, single pup, SB700. I also has a fretless before the fretted
  7. Richard Tandy played many keys, including Minimoog, Clavinet, Oberheim, Wurlitzer, Mellotron, ARP 2600, etc. Sounds Clavinetish to me
  8. I dont think there ever was a Danelectro Clampett
  9. I missed the zero bids But still, if £215 would have bought it, nowt wrong with that price I've seen photos that slightly change the perspective of things, so the neck is probably straight, and just a quirk of the photo. I do believe that string height can be adjusted
  10. I like it Blimey, £215 winning bid. I've seen stacks of overpriced badly built ' specials ' and for a lot more moolah. Cosmetic looks are too personal, so a pointless debate. Meat and poison, but it could play like a demon. No one here knows. Shame its a 5 er
  11. Oh much guffawage. What a goon
  12. Has he changed the description ? THIS LISTING IS FOR THE GUITAR ONLY. THE AMPLIFIER IS UNDR A SEPERATE LISTING. BOUGHT ABOUT FIFTEEN YEARS AGO IT HAS ONLY BEEN USED IN MY RECORDING STUDIO.
  13. Yep, despite ped and mick stating on sale forever, i've never seen them before. I'm not generally trawling ebay for basses, so that maybe a good reason
  14. And another - same seller, but this time a P/J. Never seen these before either https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alembic-Jazz-Bass-4-String-Custom-Buckeyed-Burl/172850784101?_trkparms=aid%3D444000%26algo%3DSOI.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20170221122447%26meid%3D95be601247984de1b6f6130cb096517b%26pid%3D100752%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D172850782957%26itm%3D172850784101&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982
  15. Never seen an Alembic J bass before. Assuming it's geniune, i like this bad boy a lot. Not the price though https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alembic-Jazz-Bass-4-String-Custom-Spalted-Maple/172850782957?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20190212142712%26meid%3D4700ca91e1e44125baf0784b49d3eda2%26pid%3D100037%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D173798577418%26itm%3D172850782957&_trksid=p2047675.c100037.m2107
  16. Thats a good looking bass Paul
  17. A set list , for your regular 45 min set x two , will be around 10 - 13 tracks per set, ( say 20-26 all in ) give or take depending on how long they are and how much babble there is between songs. Ask the band to make up the list for set 1 , and get that rehearsed, then again for set 2. They obviously have a lot of spares for longer gigs, or if they like to juggle the set lists about. It's a bit much to throw 40-50 songs at you straight off. They'll need to be patient.
  18. Understood - but you're doing the right think by asking the cab gurus.
  19. I would be tempted to do it properly, buy a well known driver ( recommended ) like the Beyma, which will have the TSP's and ask here for help with Win ISD. Thats just what i did. Guesswork is fine, but why not go the whole hog ?
