  1. The same happened when i bought some Entwistle Neos, and the magnets got close and ipso facto, i more or less needed a crow bar.
  2. It wasn't me. I swear on my pet Camel, Ivan
  3. Has Charic been arrested ?
  4. Its a Magnum 4, not a Magnum 2 as he states. I owned a Mag 3 and it has regular pots, but the 4 had the all singing dancing mahoojits Mags 1 and 2 were the oddball shape. Flat eric of these forums has one on his website http://flatericbassandguitar.blogspot.com/2011/10/ovation-magnum-bass.html
  5. Pups look like humbuckers, but they're really single coils , aren't they ? Not sure, just i remember reading somewhere
  6. Probably started life out as a canoe
  7. Find the owner that done those mods, and stick him with a cattle prod. And then another prod. And one more

  11. I did a hertz listening test and i got as far as 11,000 Hz and that was it. I think if one were 18 years old, one might get to hear 20,000 hz but this disappears over the years. Bit off topic , soz
  12. Def. looking like a bass body now. And yes, i'd love that Purple as the main wood, but when done, we have sandwich to look at, the pup cover and the neck, when it's also done. It's all good. yeehar
  13. I agree - in a studio, subtle tones would be useful.
  14. Too many Knobs.
  15. I sieze up a bit if my hands are cold. We rehearse in a cold warehouse, and have to have fires plugged in but still it takes a while to warm up Other than that, i dont get cramps. I always try to play every day, just to keep the muscle memory, and also the digits kinda loose.
  16. He is, and nice looking bass IMO
  17. Mick is right. Logo is misplaced. It's a ringer
  18. You never understood me, anyway You'll never catch me... I won't give up... You'll NEVER take me alive!
  19. Just get Charic a 6 pack of Tennents Super and he'll be all over it like a tramp on a bag of chips 🤩
  20. Someone else's cat ? Panic over
  21. My BA 115 combo was an utter pile of. I wouldnt compare this to their real gear though. After watching / listening to Bowie live at the BBC in 2000, and listening to Mark Plati give it some on Ashes to Ashes , and Gail Ann Dorsey on the rest, i decided i loved the tone. Especially Ashes to Ashes when guitarist Plati took over on bass. Wonderful. Cant tell ya what model Plati and Dorsey are playing thorugh, but Ampeg officianados will know
  22. oooer, dodgy glue moment coming up. This is where you found out the next day you've glued the cat to some purpleheart
  23. What a fabulous sound he's getting. Didnt know they'd been a round for decades ! Yup, i guess , as you say, Hill must be playing through a guitar amp.
  24. Yup, it's just weird that the top bar changes depending on what i'm doing. As i type this reply, half of the tools in the top bar have disappeared as per pic 1 above
