  1. Karl Reidlich may have been the name behind Mazeti. I'd heard that they were built in Germany. How Frenchman Thomas Bruneteau got to make identical guitars is a mystery right now By the way, yes BT i see what you mean now about the similar W. It's all got a bit odd and confusing. One W is rounded and curvy, the other is very sharp and angular, but there is a similarity
  2. Yeah i didnt think of that. Or maybe Bruneteau took over a failing company ? Who knows. I like them which ever way it happened
  3. PS Nff Found what i was looking for. He was Mazeti ....he changed the name. I KNEW i'd seen those weird fretboards before. Man., i should be a detetctive https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/les-paul-bass-mazeti-bass-guitar-512359460
  4. Not really. They're all different
  5. yeah if you can live with the headstock - it will be utterly unique - but build yer own case
  6. No, NFF got it wrong The single letter W is French Luthier Thomas Bruneteau. The one with the full word WOLF, is the Korean one
  7. Would you believe it... I cant find any basses with that 2 tone fretboard yet
  8. I have the feeling that Bruneteau makes very good quality axes. And unless he copied the bass model that began with an M that i cannot think of, it maybe that he started the bass building with those M's and ventured on to Wolf, changing the name. That 2 tone neck is identical to the basses i remember that are no longer around
  9. I dont relish the idea of fixing them, sir
  10. See my post above Nff. I think maybe Bruneteau made one offs, or maybe they were staple models that never sold in big numbers and he left the idea alone
  11. This is the webby of the French guy Bruneteau Doesnt seem to make many basses. In fact there aren't any on his site. Wonder if they were specials ? That weird acoustic isnt listed either. They could old models that he doent make anymore. Maybe too wacky and didnt sell ? http://wolflutherie.com/index.html
  12. Wolf guitar brand from Korea is made by KHL Seoul South Korea – established 1997. KHL also make Ravenwest, HK, and Woodo brands. This is their logo
  13. By the way - that bass above was made in France by luthier Thomas Brunteau . Apparently there is more than one builder using the name Wolf Here's another by the same French guy
  14. Rings a bell. That name that began with an M was a short name like Wolf, maybe 5 letters. Mateus ? Nah thats a bottle of vino collapso, but it was something like that.
  15. Dont search for any modern Chris Glen & Friends stuff on YT. It was attrocious
  16. Thanks NFF Very similar to the bass i mentioned with the wrong name. Just cannot remember it's correct name though. Pretty sure it began with an M. I wonder if they actually changed their name at some point to Wolf Mind you, that Wolf bass. Good luck getting a case for it. Would have to be a DIY job
  17. Looks more like a P body with an MM stuck in it. I've seen that fretboard 2 tone thing on some basses on Ebay a few years ago but cannot remember the exact name. Something similar to Matiz, although i know that's not it. They seemed to be well made too
  18. Ssssshhh. Bugle it to the world why doncha ?
  19. Concur mr lemmy. I liked them so much when they were being sold everywhere, that i bought one of the bigger bass cases many moons ago and it's still my main carry case. I have more than one bass, and even though i also have more than one case, its the TP that gets used all the time
  20. Doctor Preston at your service - please enter and take a seat. What seems to be the problem ?
  21. I think he's just got the decimal point in the wrong places on price AND postage. Mind you, he can alter them, if he wishes. I like it though, so i'l make him an offer of £9.000
  22. Prescription bass Perhaps the seller is a doctor
  23. What a band, and what a shame about Ted. Here , SAHB fans - a wee treat
  24. Or even crustaceans. ... oh, i get it.
