  2. Selling this as a Samick, but this is not their logo, and £88 on Ebay but £200 on Reverb Best of luck to him though https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Early-Samick-Jazz-Bass-guitar/332999454252?hash=item4d88506e2c%3Ag%3A0yQAAOSwSe5cMetC&LH_ItemCondition=3000 https://reverb.com/item/18048383-samick-jazz-1980s-translucent-green-blue
  3. Is that one huge bass or is that woman kinda small ?
  4. Not sure what the Alembic mention is about, but the price seems adventurous. I sort of remember Alligator amps back in the day, and those were good IIRC
  5. I like this - not for everyone, obv. https://reverb.com/item/16405331-1983-rare-reeve-guitars-alligator-boutique-custom-vintage-uk-bass-birdseye-maple-oak-2k-new-wal
  6. We can do leccies, plumbing, ironing, cooking, shelving. What she need ?
  7. Imagine being a mod on a forum with over 137, 000 members. Never ending task, but we had superb ways of dealing with dissenters. We tracked their addresses down through their IP's and sent a tooled up crew round. Happy days
  8. I've had several Peaveys over the years. Their necks are superb
  9. Try finding a Peavey Palaedium. Like rocking horse lips, but they are out there
  10. Very useful, i agree. Mine came with several different tips, as well.
  11. Take a pillow from your bed to every gig, and use cling film to attach it to yourself .. job done
  12. One extra tip ( sic ) is using a clean tip so wiping on the damp sponge before soldering is a good idea, but remember this kills the heat for a while so the tip needs to heat back up. I have a soldering station, rather than just a gun on a cable, and have an adjustable temp, + LED temp readout, so can easily set temps, and can tell if it fluctuates when cleaning the tip on the damp sponge
  13. Hmmm.... yes, being on the top, or on the bottom. Bit of a dliemma
  14. There's a Talkbass member ( I think it's a guy called Bongomania ) who has road tested many compressors. Just his verdict using his own preferences, so may not match your own, so it's a just a guide, but quite helpful http://www.ovnilab.com/
  15. He's got a reserve on it, which are usually set below , but near to , the BIN price, so maybe £550 at a guess ? Worth that IMO
  16. I'd have been rather annoyed as well as freaked. Why she thought going in the mens' was acceptable in this day and age is a mystery. Can you imagine the shyt storm women would have kicked up if a bloke had gone into the womens toilets ? He would probably have been arrested at the very least
