  1. I had the MB with the monster bridge - fitted with fine tuners. . Great tones on this bass too
  2. Ah, just found out they did reissue. One from '96 went for £800
  3. Another one here Les, but no build date given, that i can see anyway. They didnt do reissues, did they ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Epiphone-RIVOLI2-BASS-VC-2PU-Nice-Clean-W-OHSC-Free-International-Shipping/123591092563?hash=item1cc69a6953:g:6aMAAOSwXF5cN0oZ
  4. There's one for sale on Ebay - it's '67. Big bucks https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Epiphone-vintage-1967-Rivoli-Bass-with-OHSC-in-superb-original-condition/183639271544?hash=item2ac1c0e878:g:qT4AAOSwZ4RcEThu
  5. So, after all that algebraic stuff whizzed over me head, ratio is pretty good
  6. Is this just going to end up as a copy of this ? https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/226641-bass-direct/?tab=comments#comment-2332450
  7. PJB C4 400 watt / 24 Lbs ...how does that calculate ?
  8. Oh dear cliff ..
  9. You have a PJB head, so maybe the PJB C4 ..... at 24Lbs, It's like picking up a toy. So i bought 2 of them
  10. Love the tone he gets from that hair. Nice to see DG with some hair , too
  11. Andy - found it http://nextbigthingguitars.com/inventory/ziegenfuss-single-cut-4-string-bass
  12. Not me sir - your pencil work is monumental
  13. Go for it, you crazy mutha
  14. Yeah thats fine if the band has enough tunes and the band agree to extra time played. But the venue can still pay for it, otherwise, no ( but thats just me )
  15. IIRC, we did a social club gig , got £300 , roughtly the same as a pub gig ( although we also did pubs that paid £200 and £250 ) but since they were virtually paying pub prices, our playing lasted the same time. If they wanted more playing time they can pay for it. I wouldn't call a plumber out and expect to pay him the same for 4 hours work as i would if he worked for 2 hours
  16. Dont know why they're building a P bass - safe perhaps ? Still, i like their amps and cabs, and dont mind the colour scheme
  17. Scuse me - i'm just going to call God on the great white telephone
  18. I'm sure we hit 50 at The Dolphin , Middleton Cheney, Banbury
  19. Cheers Davey lad. I dont know much about MM's but it didnt quite tally up. The body looked like a precision but with a pair of MM style pups. Mind you i only looked for 10 mins or so...., at 1hr 27, there's a better view and i can see its neither Precision or Stingray
  20. Not using a P/J or a Jaydee here.. what is it ?
  21. If you google Youtube The Firm Live at Hammersmith Odeon 1984, looks like a Dual Humbucker Musicman fretless, but looks more like a Precision witn dual MM pickups.
  22. No matter - we both think it's a good 'un. Not particularly a bass players album, but great songs. IMO of course
  23. Great band. Got the 2 albums The Firm and Mean Business. Frankiln is top notch
  24. Think It's Grand Tourismo - and a good album, yes.
  25. That is a shame young Les. Bluddy Squiers
