  1. Cheers Andy I've heard various solutions elsewhere on the net and people praise one glue and others completely disagree, as is the way of the world. Titebond was praised, Titebond was shot down. Same with Hide glue, which seems it's meant to be used hot. These yays and nays came from guitar builders, of all people
  2. Is there a preferred glue for bonding caps to bodies ?
  3. I think he does. He doesnt come on here much so may miss this message. If you dont get an answer, message me and i will phone him
  4. Cant think what type of music they'd want for a plumber in a loin cloth fixing a washing machine owned by a lonely housewife with a body that could make the Pope kick a hole in his stained glass window. Funk garage jungle ?
  5. Most couriers require a hard case. It's one of their get out clauses. Also , check each couriers small print. Some of them only insure guitars up to a pathetic amount
  6. I just use all 4. Depends on the fretting, but i havent really noted when i do it. It's kind of automatic.
  7. What Haz said. Your finger is way wider than the fret line on a fretless. If you play on the line, you will have part of your finger on, behind and in front of the fret line. You need to position your finger so that edge of it sits next to the line your fretting, not past it, which is what happens when playing right on the line. You will be sharp, playing right on the line, and it sounds worse the further up the neck you play. It doesnt sound so bad down at the nut end
  8. Sort of. The headstock on this hideous green alien is flat, whereas the Motion B's were raised in the middle on the outside and concave underneath, as you might remember
  9. Thanks again Bill. Nervousness batted out of the park. Stevie did most of the plotting design, so pretty confident that the 600 watt Fane was going to sound good, which it does
  10. Argg. Biggest speaker diameter i could load in was 20cm. I need 38cm , obviously
  11. Thinks Bill - just downloading to see what's happening
  12. I dont get chuffing with my 4 ports. Maybe because they're 100mm diameter each in a large-ish 1x15 cab ??
  13. Oh hell. My cab in pic above is 40cm off the floor. Dammit. I bought those supports especially for that cab
  14. What tinyd said. One of those hand held recorders is what we use for recording a rehearsal, but instead of using the short onboard mics, we connect a Sure vocal mic to it and dangle it over the ceiling RSJ, so it's vaguely in the middle of the room. It's only for our own playback to see where the mistakes are and what not. Recording is just about ok, but the room is around 12ft by 12ft and we're all in a circle, which isn't ideal, but it's a rehearsal, so we dont really care. https://soundcloud.com/user-perplexus/kissmp3
  15. You could probably sell this to the bass gallery for more than you're asking here. They have one for sale at £850 right now, assuming it's identical
  16. Really ? I typed it in and got this. It's not far from me.
  17. its 11" from the rack strips ( where your amp ears bolt to ) , to the back . Same as my 2u shallow Boschma
  18. I'd be in a queue for a flat pack.
  19. Just quoting Yoda Fitz from years ago. Cheap should have been Hoffmans 4th choice. I'm with you - small and bass extension. I'd just get a bigger amp for the 3rd one.
