  1. I'd like to determine the k ohms of some pots in one of my basses Firstly, can i do this while they're still all connected and if so, which tabs do i stick the red and black multi meter cables on and which setting on the ohms scale do i use TVM
  2. £750 !!! Pleasant dreams, sunshine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wishnevesky-Fretless-Piccolo-Bass/263980151079?hash=item3d76717127:g:bl0AAOSwiiVbuzgc
  3. Thats more Dali than Picasso. He left that too near the grill
  4. Yeah that would look favourite. Maybe that upper control cavity takes 2 batts, as it looks big enough, and if you only want to run 9v, use just 1 in the electronics cavity
  5. Where does the 2nd 9v battery go for the 18v preamp , or is it underneath the one in the photo ?
  6. The speakons with a metal sliding locking "thumb " switch are easy. It's those feckers with the round grey locking collar that are the real pain. I stopped buying those
  7. Hand made, apparently. Who by ..Stevie Wonder ??
  8. Thanks Chris. I checked " my followed content " in my account and it wasn't showing up as being ticked. Still, job done !
  9. Hi moddies Recently - in fact just today it started, i've been getting on site notifications of random new threads in Off Topic. I've had about 3 so far, so it cant be ALL new threads in OT ( i think ) I'm not suscribed to follow new threads in OT, so not sure why i'm getting informed of them .. any ideas ?
  10. That might not be it's only fault Mick. Quite a lot of these had a digital clock whine. It's a well known fault, but it wouldn't fail a pat test, i would have thought.
  11. Riverhead basses are bluddy good. Grab it
  12. Er..... Paging Yoda ...paging Yoda
  13. I feel your pain, Keef
  14. That would explain it nicely
  15. Agreed. Seems there are a few TE cult followers here. Lets emerge from the underground and become mainstream Wave that flag, people !
  16. Just found it D
  17. Drink less beer
  18. I bought it with the neck pup installed, which is a vintage Schaller Bassbucker ( think it's called the 232 ) and it also came with a Schaller P for the bridge pup, but i changed that for a Dimarzio for a bit more growl. The neck is a Peavey , very skinny, lovely accurate fretting. The body - no idea I love the bass. I play this more than my Overwater.
  19. Dear Cliff ! Mine would sound as thin as a one egg omelette with no graphic .
  20. They're 4 ports, dimensions of which were supplied by the cab gurus - you know who they are. It's in the build diaries somewhere, mr Dis
  21. It must be real trial typing the letters FRFR into the search box, but as if by magic ... only 35 pages long, too.
  22. Blimey guvs, if that vid on Kemps bass is the true tone of his rig, count me out. What a distorted racket.
  23. I go the other way ( matron ) If a track is in Eb, i wouldn't buy a 5 string ( lump hammer to crack a nut ) and don't want to lug a 2nd bass tuned down. We change the track to E Job done.
