  1. Not the band i'm in now, but the previous one, i was constantly hoping no one in the audience would kick off. We had a fierce drummer the size of a dump truck , good as gold and funny as hell, till someone upset him, and a singer who was pure gypsy, and damn good crooner, who had managed to get himself banned ( at one point in his life ) from every pub in the town of Chipping Norton where he lived, for scrapping. Never started a scrap, but usually finished them One of the last gigs we did, there were some Welsh pizzheads giving us some heat outside during the break and off it all went. Singer and his cousins nipped it in the bud. Chipping Norton town again. Weird times.
  2. Ditto Got both Remain and Fear - superb stuff. Owned them for 30 years + I thought Belew really changed the dynamic on Remain. Not better or worse, just different , and brilliant I also have Tom Tom Club's first CD which is another killer - Weymouth is a great Basser and very understated. She doesn't waste notes but always has the right line for every song That takes talent
  3. I like it people ! I wouldn't pay that though, but it's meticulously built. I bet that took some time
  4. I've got the 15" TE wedge i bought from you sat on the 4x10 combo right now, ready for Stewblack to collect after his gig today. I've shut all the doors and windows.
  5. I've been there I ordered £72 kitchen tiles . They never turned up. Apparently i found out that they delivered them, so they said, to the Chinese Takeaway next door but one. BS. I checked with the manager, it was tagged as delivered at 7pm and they're open at this time, so someone would have signed for it. They didn't, and apparently you dont have to have a signature ( talking about Ebay / Paypal here ) as long as tracking can prove it was delivered. Yes, it was the couriers own tracking that stated it was delivered !!! But not to me. The police had a go , eventually , but they either didnt make much effort, or they didnt come up with anything. MH stopped responding after a while on their FB page . I eventually got some money back from PP ( after 6 weeks of dealing and various prrof of non delivery ) but only gave half of whsat i paid, and i was so peed off i called my bank and got the rest back. No one knows where the tiles went. Well i know. The courier stole them, because there's no other option left
  6. Whoa ! nearly forgot Stew. Thanks for the reminder. Shall i PM you with directions and contact number ?
  7. For the future and for quick testing a socket, get one of these. I've using one for 10 years or more, and then when playing, use an RCD
  8. Ugly to some, yes. Certainly is to me.
  9. That would make a nice axe. Mind you, its a Mex jazz, so how much would one of those be ? He hasn't listed the date ... then add a Status neck - and how much are they ? £400 ? If he wants as much as £800, i'd say it's a bit ambitious
  10. Seems it's located in Blackburn, Lancs. Long trip for a southerner, but at least if you're there you can check there really are 4,000 holes. Which is enough to fill the Albert Hall.
  11. Thing is Dan, that is what sounds about right. People won't be posting on their page " Thanks for delivering my parcel today " It's only going to be people with grievances, so you'll get to hear only those tweets of disgruntled customers. Try this with My Hermes - they dont even have a customer service line anymore - presumably due to having even more disgruntled customers than any other courier - and the only way to get hold of them for a problem is via Facebook. Yes, i'm not kidding. I've been there. It was the last time i used their service.
  12. Doesnt look great to me. That Dimarzio at the bridge is crooked. And why would this sell for more than an Alembic ? Complete dreamer
  13. This could be fab for someone wanting to try an EA bass https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Artisan-Electro-Acoustic-Bass-Guitar/183410425213?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D52543%26meid%3D05772097d86e4bd5a99c0a8a7b677690%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D253844032186%26itm%3D183410425213&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
  14. Remember David, that £20 lasts a whole year, and you can sell anything, bass related or not. as there are dedicated forums for everything you can think of. A bargain for sure
  15. Some more stunning tones. It's a shame that model with block fretboard and brown violin body finish doesnt seem to exist anymore
  16. I don't think regular members can delete any of the mods. Charic would end up under a bridge with a sleeping bag and Dad would be howling into a rather spiffing vintage chateauneuf de pape
  17. They certainly will be, as i posted earlier. They've always used the very best for the tracks in question
  18. Blimey guv, a bank ! Sadly, i cannot remember where in W.O.S i was living back then. We're talking around 1972-ish. Also, like yourself, i'm not a native, being from picturesque Dagenham.
