  1. I'd say that was your best bet too, as even on here, you'd be lucky to grab a single tuner to match yours
  2. Thats a shock. I've always admired Chris's basses. Some unique shapes indeed, but the Reacter series were my faves. Shame
  3. Thanks HZ. Yup marmite but i'm a fan
  4. Spray ? Oh good grief ! You covering that delicious wood ? No !!! May a thousand fleas infest your undies draw. Stain yes, varnish, yes - paint ? Arggghhh
  5. Think it's the same bass ? Cant think why i didnt see it for sale here - i would have chewed his arm off at the price.
  6. Cant be many of these around , so this Uber Art Recurve 4 might be the same one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-C-G-Uber-ART-Recurve-4-and-Hiscox-case/323346309334?hash=item4b48f120d6:g:09EAAOSw4Zxaz4f0 Though it's somehow magically got £400 more expensive in 2 years
  7. Still here eh ? And priced at only just over £80 per item. Isn't this called ' a bargain ' ?
  8. Luck not needed, but a team of Clydesdales would be handy
  9. I think it's because no one has bought it, despite the ususal promises

  11. Massive indeed but you would be having to drag 2 cabs to gigs. This is why the ( to me ) 9.2 makes more sense.
  12. Very true - just seems odd if you use one cab, you get less wattage than the cheaper 9.2. 125 watts is not much i grant you, but still
  13. Coming along ! You still working standing on one leg ?
  14. For scale length it's better to measure from the nut to the 12th fret. This is more accurate because neither ever move, unlike bridge saddles. So, measure nut to 12th fret and double the measurement. Thats your true scale length
  15. Yes but if you're a one cab person, then the 12 and 12.2 makes no sense. Reduced wattage compared to the 9.2. with a one cab rig Why not make the 12 and 12.2 full wattage whether one cab or two ? You can always play with the volume if you dont want all that power. I dont see any advantage in reducing watts when running a single cab
  16. Just been reading up on the old Genz Benz shuttlemax series, and specifically the max amps, becuase they have 2 independant preamps, which is very handy. Here's the crux of the biscuit - the 12.2 max ( and the earlier 12 max ) not only have 2 independant preamps but 2 independant power amps. Now,... if you only use 1 cab , you get reduced wattage. 1 x 8 ohm cab = 375 watts. 1 x 4 ohm cab = 600 watts. These watts double if using 2 cabs of equal ohmage Now then - the 9.2 max ( there is no earlier 9 max ) still has 2 independant preamps, but not 2 power amps. So running 1 x 8 ohm cab = 500 watts and 1 x 4 ohm cab = 900 watts. I dont see the point of the 12 and 12.2 max amps having their power amps independant. ? 12.2 max specs http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=2825&sid=715&cid=95 9.2 max specs http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=2664&sid=715&cid=95
  17. Another seller with no location.
  18. Not just jazz basses of variable prices but 5 strings of all types seem to dominate. 4 strings seem to be thin on the ground - either they're at the cheap end or the over expensive end, generally speaking
