  1. This may not suit you, but i would find the same bass with intact logo somewhere on the web, and save it as a .jpg. Get a decal man to make you a waterslide Hohner decal copy, then you can do a proper job sanding the laquer off, re-lacquer a coat or 2, apply decal, then lacquer till the decal edges disappear PS there's a chance that acetone will disolve the ink that your current decal is printed with so dont use acetone
  2. Various selection of knobbage, and those on plastic bags are new. The flash has caused some strange highlights, in case anyone was wondering. All metal with grub screws, apart from the 50p shaped Fendery looking ones, which are plastic push on types. Price is postage free to mainland UK
  3. They're not Chinese cables. It's Kenable's own production line, so spec is per Kenable's requirement. They're just built by the Chinese labour.
  4. Never seen any in my local Lidl. If i want a sports bra, pocket welder, or XXL lederhosen, i'm in luck
  5. Just received my Simo template and had a nice surprise. I've had Jon's templates before, but this one turned up with a beautiful engraving that Jon did off his own back. As can be seen, it was a template i needed for a Kent Armstrong Claymore soapbar, and this nice little touch from Jon was a sweet surprise. How he manages the prices of custom templates is a mystery. When we consider labour ( setting up cutting machine, ) materials, and packaging / postage, all in the price, these are a rare bargain. A big thanks to Jon
  6. The 5 quid i won on the Thunderball last Saturday wont get me much. Can you lend me £995 ?
  7. 2-10 Hz An experiment with 25 subjects reported a subjective “feeling of body sway” when exposed to 2-10 Hz tones above 130 dB, with the effect most pronounced at 7 Hz. Vertical Nystagmus (involuntary movement of the eye) was also reported. Another test that exposed subjects to 5-10 Hz tones at 150 dB reported nostril vibration. One tester subjected ten normal hearing and ten deaf participants to a 6 Hz tone at 115 dB for 20 minutes and found changes in EEG patterns (described as ‘diminished wakefulness) in the hearing participants accompanied by changes in pulse and blood pressure. However these effects were not found in the deaf subjects. Other tests in the 5-10 Hz range found decreased respiration, depressed blood flow in the brain, and changes in pulse and blood pressure. Subjective complaints of testing in this frequency band included body vibrations, pressure in the ear, and an inability to concentrate. 10-20 Hz A test conducted on four participants found abdominal wall vibrations for a 10-20 Hz narrow band noise at 150-154 dB. Another test found chest and abdominal vibrations from 4-20 Hz at 132 dB and above. One study conducted by the Air Force found the resonant frequency of the eyeball to be 18 Hz. It has been suggested that sound pressures at sufficient levels at the resonant frequency of the eye can cause visual disturbances, and that locations that have sound emissions at this frequency can sometimes be mistaken for being ‘haunted’ for this reason. In another test, a 17 Hz tone was shown to cause anxiety in some people when it was used as an undertone in a concert performance against a control performance that did not have the undertone. As with the resonant frequency of the eyeball, it was speculated that locations with sound emissions at this frequency might cause some to feel they are ‘haunted.’
  8. Of course , i have PM's 801 Listen Now CD - it's pretty awesome, as already posted here. Wonderful tracks and great musicians. I like prefer this album cover over the live cover, just a preference, natch Regarding Roxy, get under the headphones and listen to the spookyness of The Bogus Man. It's a treat. For Your Pleasure has been in my collection for many a decade.
  9. Yup, natural maybe. Or just my typo
  10. I never liked the Thumbs much till i saw this ... the Bleached Blonde NT Thumb What a gorgeous looking axe ... big money though, i believe
  11. Late to the party but i went to Kenable for the same reason. My 2 x PA cab mains leads were stiff as a local councillor, and i needed 6 metres x 2. The Kenable cables that turned up were fabulous and cheaper than Lynx
  12. TRied this but the room is so small that it overwhelms the input. Output from desk seems best.
  13. Yes, but cant be ar*ed to buy yet another cable when we already have others that should work
  14. Yup, thats the answer. Not till i'm back in the rehearsal room though
  15. More good points. I would hazard a guess and say ' Latching ' would be the right pedal, because AFAIK, momentary pedals means one has to keep one's hoof on the pedal. I'll check for the FS5L
  16. Good points. Trouble with tape in/out is the phonos. We dont need to bother with isolating announcers mic or anything like that as this is all in our rehearsal space, recording stuff for ourselves to listen to at home. The Tascam DR07x has it's own gain input adjustment. I like the idea of the main out jacks, especially as you say, they are the same as tape outs, it serves our purpose nicely re. cables, and we dont need to disconnect the XLR main outs.
  17. Yes, thats a good point. A Digitech footswitcher into a Roland rack unit harmoniser. Probably a bad recipe. That could simply be the whole problem. I might suggest he finds the Roland pedal that suits his rack unit. Probably difficult to find these days as i think the rack unit is probably 80's/90's from his solo career
  18. Just googling Eurodesks, and although i wont know for sure till Friday ( i dont have dominion over the desk ) i think the desk is a Behringer Eurodesk MX2442A, and looking at the specs, there ARE 2 x 1/4" jack main outs as well as main XRL outs. So that could be one of your options Also it's got 2 x 1/4 " ( L + R ) control room outs, so another of your options. Would main out jacks be best or control room out jacks be best, or is there no difference ?
  19. I'll have to check at rehearsals on Friday, Phil. It's not for live recording, also no drums till our drummist gets his Roland E-Kit, so instruments right now would be 3 guitars, 1 keys, 1 bass, 4 vocals. I would imagine it does have a control room out , because my even Xenyx 802 mini mixer has control room out. The main outs are already used to feed the PA cabs, ( though they could be disconnected ) but they're XLR main outs and we dont have any XLR's to mini jack cables. Headphone out is likely to be single 1/4" stereo jack ? We'd need to find adapters, though we must have those somewhere Are monitor outs left and right jacks ? That would be ideal as the cable i have is 2 x 1/4" jacks to mini 3.5mm stereo jack
  20. That looks like it would use a regular TRS cable, so its a probability that his cable might be faulty, or even the footswitch might have a fault
  21. We have a 24 channel Euro Desk, and i'm not sure which outputs to use to connect a Tascam DR07x portable recorder. ? The Tascam has stereo mini jack in. Actually, it's for an external mic but we're going to use it as audio in from the desk.
  22. By the way, the screws on Entwistle neo pickups dont actually screw the pole up and down. You can simply push the poles up and down. The 'screw' appears to be cosmetic only
