  1. Wow - the ultimate humiliation - being pulled off stage by your Mum on ??
  2. You dont necessarily have to play the fluffy bits. Would a tute help ?
  3. I only think it isn't a Satellite is because i had one, although it was a neck through, but still thoroughly horrible. The neck had a built on warp, which i was told was a trademark of Satellite basses
  4. Satellites were terrible basses and iffy build quality, and the OP says his was well made, so its doubtful that it was a Satellite, but ..
  5. This was the Bowl gig - cant see any live footage http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/Milton-Keynes-1983.html
  6. Apparently, Guy was on bass '82-'86 so there was a chance i saw him with Icehouse at the Milton Keynes gig, which was '83 i think. Beer and other substances at the time have clouded the memory a smidge Wonder if there's any vids ...
  7. I'm quite partial to Primtive Man. Very polished
  8. I vaguely remember that, and i have an inkling that there maybe some footage
  9. Just remembered i caught Icehouse live by accident when i went to see Bowie at Milton Keynes Bowl on his Serious Moonlight tour. They were supporting , and i was impressed. This was the mid 80's and synth was big. And there i was rummaging through YT again, and up he pops. And 30 odd or more years on he can still sing, unlike like a lot of old farts that are still going Vid of a classic, full band , great bass and an acoustic version of another classic. Davies has a great vocal IMO and he's lost the aewful mullet
  10. Right Jem.. 16" width 17" depth , ( front to back ) 24" tall, not including the rubber feet Weight 50 Lbs
  11. Its a pick up only ( not viable for posting ) or i can drive a 50 mile radius from Witney Oxfordshire for £10 petrol.
  12. Just the cab minus the amp, and the 4 original speakers left
  13. ONE OF TWO IDENTICAL CABS GONE, ..ONE LEFT This cab started life as TX 210, but has now been modifed for 2 Beyma 10" drivers. ( SM110/N ) All the plotting for the correct porting was done for me ( thanks guys ) by the cab gurus on here, so everything is spot on. The drivers were special order from Blue Aran ( 2 weeks delay ) and were £110 so the cab is £20 cheaper than anyone can buy just the new drivers The cab is 400 watt @ 4 ohm, so could be a one cab solution for someone. Original Peavey grill and i also tracked down some Peavey badges Also, the excellent Peavey accoustic wadding is retained The grill is on velcro so easily removable. The cosmetic exterior is not pristine, signs of mods etc, but did i say the cab is only £90 ?
  14. And some tasty Wildebeast sandwiches ?
  15. Did someone have a BBQ on it ? And surely that font size in the description could have been smaller Bizarre
  16. Born: 23 April 1947, Barrow-in-Furness Died: 28 August 2014, Hilo, Hawaii, United States
  17. He maybe now ? Shame I sold him a bass neck on Ebay and as he was in the US, he sent Clive Bunker round to my home to collect it for him What a lovely guy Clive is too.
  18. Yellow hankie dangling from left or right pocket ?
  19. I'm sure that doesnt work for everyone - hows about all those active basses ? Kind of a waste of money if you dont use 'em I take it your a passive bloke, monsieur
  20. If it was all in the fingers, basses wouldnt have tone controls
