  1. Would have made a good build diary for that forum, but nevertheless, its stunning.
  2. I thought Tokai got into trouble with Fender ? I maybe wrong
  3. The Beat - yes they were there too, although i went to Milton only because of Bowie. The Beat were not my thang, but Icehouse were teriffic
  4. Risky if you got a blowback. You'd have nothing to talk out of
  5. Certainly looks like a Steiny
  6. Just perusing Nastybay with maybe an idea of veneering a bass body ( not sure yet ) but came across this. Do people not proof read their ads ? The odd spelling or grammar mistake is no big deal, hell i've done it, but this is just plain lazy. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Quality-White-Macassar-Ebony-Wood-Veneer-Sheet-Flexible-Veneer-Sheet/282747540372?var=582019119580&hash=item41d5111394:m:muUwgWn0ZDWEGa-ofP7oCRw "Natural material is rotary cuted to veneer sheets, which after the removal of defects and imperfections are subjected to gluing to special blocks. In this form wood is ressed what gives the right pattern on veneer. Than the block is cutted on single sheets – veneers. The resulting material is a ferlection of veneers obtainerd using traditional method"
  7. Hits the spot
  8. Hah ! And there he is.
  9. Wow - the ultimate humiliation - being pulled off stage by your Mum on ??
  10. You dont necessarily have to play the fluffy bits. Would a tute help ?
  11. Well done - mystery solved
  12. I only think it isn't a Satellite is because i had one, although it was a neck through, but still thoroughly horrible. The neck had a built on warp, which i was told was a trademark of Satellite basses
  13. Satellites were terrible basses and iffy build quality, and the OP says his was well made, so its doubtful that it was a Satellite, but ..
  14. This was the Bowl gig - cant see any live footage http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/Milton-Keynes-1983.html
  15. Apparently, Guy was on bass '82-'86 so there was a chance i saw him with Icehouse at the Milton Keynes gig, which was '83 i think. Beer and other substances at the time have clouded the memory a smidge Wonder if there's any vids ...
  16. I'm quite partial to Primtive Man. Very polished
  17. Yeah that's him, not Ira
  18. I vaguely remember that, and i have an inkling that there maybe some footage
  19. Just remembered i caught Icehouse live by accident when i went to see Bowie at Milton Keynes Bowl on his Serious Moonlight tour. They were supporting , and i was impressed. This was the mid 80's and synth was big. And there i was rummaging through YT again, and up he pops. And 30 odd or more years on he can still sing, unlike like a lot of old farts that are still going Vid of a classic, full band , great bass and an acoustic version of another classic. Davies has a great vocal IMO and he's lost the aewful mullet
  20. Right Jem.. 16" width 17" depth , ( front to back ) 24" tall, not including the rubber feet Weight 50 Lbs
  21. Will go and check ... just a sec
  22. Its a pick up only ( not viable for posting ) or i can drive a 50 mile radius from Witney Oxfordshire for £10 petrol.
  23. Just the cab minus the amp, and the 4 original speakers left
  24. ONE OF TWO IDENTICAL CABS GONE, ..ONE LEFT This cab started life as TX 210, but has now been modifed for 2 Beyma 10" drivers. ( SM110/N ) All the plotting for the correct porting was done for me ( thanks guys ) by the cab gurus on here, so everything is spot on. The drivers were special order from Blue Aran ( 2 weeks delay ) and were £110 so the cab is £20 cheaper than anyone can buy just the new drivers The cab is 400 watt @ 4 ohm, so could be a one cab solution for someone. Original Peavey grill and i also tracked down some Peavey badges Also, the excellent Peavey accoustic wadding is retained The grill is on velcro so easily removable. The cosmetic exterior is not pristine, signs of mods etc, but did i say the cab is only £90 ?
