  1. Funny old me, but i love the ACG and the Veillete out of the whole lot
  2. Been there Keith - Tama, Mapex, Premier Soundwave ( identical to a kit used by Phil Collins ) Sabian, Paiste, Zildjian cymbals. It really racks up the coin
  3. Have to agree with all .. i've known JE personally for well over 25 years, and he's a class engineer. I'm pretty sure he was on the crew that developed Peter Grabriels outrageous desk You cant go wrong with an E-pre. Bit of useless info - bumped into John at our local jam bar 6 days ago and managed to get a pint out of him. Happy days
  4. ya welcome Here's another budget option https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Premier-drum-kit-in-glossy-red-finish-hardly-used-excellent-condition/273134804420?hash=item3f981a5dc4:g:UyIAAOSwI2VavjrL
  5. Just saying BB, but you were going to look at it when you got home on the day that i PM'd you, as you were having trouble with the site or something. But the site was having trouble with profiles, not links in signatures Links were working, so why you didnt look when you got home, as you said, on the day in question is a mystery, as that was a few days ago now
  6. There still is, but despite PM, got one answer, then ignored Testament to this thread https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/322437-is-ignorance-bliss/
  7. As ex drummer myself, you're going to struggle with buying a decent-ish kit AND cymbals for your budget But you might get a bargain if you wait. Found this on the 'bay. Pearl Export - very decent for low to midrange kit, and the cherry on top are the Sabian cymbals As long no one else bids, it would be a bargain indeed https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEARL-EXPORT-5-PIECE-DRUM-KIT-WITH-SABIAN-CYMBALS/253523168649?hash=item3b07288d89:g:UkAAAOSwiYRaumYp
  8. In the real world, any modern combo isn't going to be much less in size than that trace... maybe a couple of inches at best. Your missus is not going to notice a couple of inches, is she. ? Matron
  9. Nothing wrong here - site's zipping along nicely, which suggests the problem is yours
  10. I've moved onto to stuffing my ears with jelly fruit and custard, as i'm a trifle deaf
  11. Of course she would. Wives are very amenable when it comes to another expensive bass purchase I'll probably only cost you a vintage , unmarked , as new , vintage Louis Vuitton handbag
  12. I dont think he is. There may be a small but significant clue in his forum name. Its hard to spot though ...
  13. I dont see the point really. He could simply delete the pics if he hosted them himself Just shows what a nasty pasty he is
  14. The bridge is beautiful in the flesh, and that bass finish is fabric that has been lacquer sealed The brown ring ( matron ) round the strap button is a piece of felt so the base of the button doesnt marr the finish No fags in sight
  15. I'm surprised in this technological age, that the scum couldn't be traced. At least there was no mention of it Surely such a scam means they have left a trail ? Mind boggles
  16. I'm sorry to say that its happened plenty of times to me on here. Its a small slice of life outside in the big world You will find a lack of courtesy in every corner. BC isnt immune. Its just on a smaller scale. Some people are just plain rude / ignorant / lacking in social skills
  17. You mean Ernie Bell strings ? And whats up with those photos . Every one of them is so blurred you cant see the headstock. Or indeed the rest of the guitar
  18. JUst rattled off a couple of pics of that bridge on my bass. To change the spacing, simply get an allen key and undo those four bolts at the rear of the bridge. Pic 1 shows its widest spacing, and pic 2 shows its closest spacing
  19. I'l be starting on senseless violins next, or maybe gratutitous sax
