  1. More good points. I would hazard a guess and say ' Latching ' would be the right pedal, because AFAIK, momentary pedals means one has to keep one's hoof on the pedal. I'll check for the FS5L
  2. Good points. Trouble with tape in/out is the phonos. We dont need to bother with isolating announcers mic or anything like that as this is all in our rehearsal space, recording stuff for ourselves to listen to at home. The Tascam DR07x has it's own gain input adjustment. I like the idea of the main out jacks, especially as you say, they are the same as tape outs, it serves our purpose nicely re. cables, and we dont need to disconnect the XLR main outs.
  3. Yes, thats a good point. A Digitech footswitcher into a Roland rack unit harmoniser. Probably a bad recipe. That could simply be the whole problem. I might suggest he finds the Roland pedal that suits his rack unit. Probably difficult to find these days as i think the rack unit is probably 80's/90's from his solo career
  4. Just googling Eurodesks, and although i wont know for sure till Friday ( i dont have dominion over the desk ) i think the desk is a Behringer Eurodesk MX2442A, and looking at the specs, there ARE 2 x 1/4" jack main outs as well as main XRL outs. So that could be one of your options Also it's got 2 x 1/4 " ( L + R ) control room outs, so another of your options. Would main out jacks be best or control room out jacks be best, or is there no difference ?
  5. I'll have to check at rehearsals on Friday, Phil. It's not for live recording, also no drums till our drummist gets his Roland E-Kit, so instruments right now would be 3 guitars, 1 keys, 1 bass, 4 vocals. I would imagine it does have a control room out , because my even Xenyx 802 mini mixer has control room out. The main outs are already used to feed the PA cabs, ( though they could be disconnected ) but they're XLR main outs and we dont have any XLR's to mini jack cables. Headphone out is likely to be single 1/4" stereo jack ? We'd need to find adapters, though we must have those somewhere Are monitor outs left and right jacks ? That would be ideal as the cable i have is 2 x 1/4" jacks to mini 3.5mm stereo jack
  6. That looks like it would use a regular TRS cable, so its a probability that his cable might be faulty, or even the footswitch might have a fault
  7. We have a 24 channel Euro Desk, and i'm not sure which outputs to use to connect a Tascam DR07x portable recorder. ? The Tascam has stereo mini jack in. Actually, it's for an external mic but we're going to use it as audio in from the desk.
  8. By the way, the screws on Entwistle neo pickups dont actually screw the pole up and down. You can simply push the poles up and down. The 'screw' appears to be cosmetic only
  9. My rhyth git has a Digitech F300 footswitch for one of his Roland rack units, and the TRS 1/4" cable he uses doesnt work all functions. Does a 3 button footswitch require a TRRS 1/4" cable ? I doubt it because the Digitech FS3X , similar 3 button switch, says it only requires a TRS 1/4" cable in the specs, but maybe the FS300 is slightly different in operation ? Wowser - more J and P copies. That wasn't predictable at all.
  11. For the maid, natch
  12. Hmm For my fretless, i use the 2nd channel on my Genz Shuttlemax, ( channel 1 is for fretted bass ) with way more EQ options than that pedal. If i want Chorus + Reverb, i can get that from my Boss MD500. So really, not much use for me.
  13. Dusting and hoovering must be a nightmare
  14. Sorry to hear about your teeth. Was it gingivitus ?
  15. The Pharisees wre sore is an entirely different and unspeakable topic
  16. 4 left hand basses and 2 right hand basses. That's novel. You ambidextrous ? I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous
  17. Welcome to the club, and yes they weigh the same as Cornwall. Castors help. SMX300 GP12
  18. I think it all depends on what tone someone likes. That's about it.
  19. From the Status own website: PLEASE NOTE: as the graphite moulding has a lighter core material, the drill will only cut through about 6mm/ ¼” of the outer graphite. It will then be very easy for the drill to push into the core material. Some posts by SG users QUOTE: The thing that I wasn't expecting was that as soon as you drill through the carbon fibre to make the holes for the tuners it feels like there is nothing but air in the middle so you suddenly go from lots of resistance to none. Luckily I still have quite quick reaction times so I was able to stop before I ended up drilling all the way through to the front. QUOTE : after looking at some photos i noticed ther's some kind of foamy material inside it, can somebody confirm it? QUOTE: there's only 7mm or roughly 1/4" thickness of hard graphite for conventional neck fixing screws to bear into, after that you're into the soft inner foam core
  20. From memory Status necks have a foam core filling.
  21. Mr Bin bought a pedal from me - instant payment, couldnt have been an easier deal. Cheers Brendon !
