  1. Sorted and fitted. Despite the camera angle making it look like the wadding is touching the ports, it isn't. There's plenty of room around them Both handles now fitted, and at the mo, trying to sort the batten for the grill. Waiting on edge strips right now
  2. You'll be sorry when its finished
  3. I think it maybe the TX 210 , carpet covered , 175 watt RMS , 4 ohm If it looks like this photo, its the TX210
  4. Just to confirn whats been said about medium scale black nylons from Status. Yes they do fit 34" basses. Mick The Greeeeeeeeeeeek told me this when i was at his house, and so i ordered some. So mediums are ok
  5. Cheers - i'll get some sorted today
  6. You know how giant corporate money machines like to pinch every penny, and would sacrifice quality to make loads more cash... just wondering
  7. Ok - cheers Well as you've seen, the back panel is done, so.. both sides, top and bottom to do ?
  8. I used to own a 600 fretless. Set neck, and poor EQ. Just my personal experience. The tone was rather dull and non-descript
  9. I'm fond of decent heads, and would never own a headless, but they're amazing to look at.
  10. One person wanted them Our guitarist ( at the time ) bought an LP with that self tuning system. It's amazing to watch the pegs all move on their own. He hated and took them off I guess because they never worked properly
  11. I always ask if i don't know. There are so many clever people on here, that 9 out of 10, somebody knows better. Hence me tracking Richard down and getting a huge amount of help
  12. I had another search but i got bored reading 300 posts I wonder if it was one of your build threads ? Anyways - i found this from Phil
  13. I dont know where the thread is - i remember doing an all forum search for wadding and having a good read, and didnt get a definitive answer
  14. Asking anyone for their fave No.2 is fraught with danger
  15. I guess i just dont like waste. In the end, what i ordered from Jabbs link is about the best for price and wastage. So, happy days ! Things left to do - sand the areas where screw heads are sunken and filled with PVA and sawdust, and then re- Tuff cab, ( 4 panels to do where the baffle sits ) Fit corner and edge strip protection, cut and screw and seal grill battens, cut grill to size and spray paint, fit driver, make grill badge Still a bit to do
  16. Thanks Stevie - i mulled that over in my head about the wadding, but then if you read the mighty wadding in cabs thread, there's a 50-50 debate about it. There didn't seem to be a definitive answer
  17. Apparently so Rik Mayall also did that in one of the Comic Strip stories - Beat Generation IIRC
  18. Bah humbug - who cares. Ordered - about £11 + shrapnel. Bargain - ta Jabb
  19. Blimey Jab - that last one is cheap. Cheers Is 1.5mm thick enough to offer some protection ?
