  1. Nice thing he said to Neil in the interview was that despite himself and Cornwell writing most of the music, ( though not all - Greenfield came up with the riff for Golden Brown, of a sorts ) JJ and HC didnt expect more cash as the writers, and they just distributed the money equally. In JJ's eyes, he said the moment Dave and Jet added their own pieces, they had partly written the songs as well, and so they never had that in-band rucking when someone thinks they should get more quids than the others. Nice touch , i thought
  2. The bassline is tricky if you want to play every note of the original, but i just did something similar still using those 16ths and to the untrained earhole, it sounded very similar.
  3. Anyone catch Jean Jackets on Vintage TV ? What a bloke. Well funny Seems obvious now but i didnt realise both his parents were French, though of course he was born in the UK. Seems he's had some hairy moments over the decades. Getting into a scrap on stage with bouncers and dockers in Cleethorpes after some ' really tough ' guys started beating up some young punk girls. Funny ole JJ puts his bass down and kicks the biggest geezer in the building ( he said he just bounced off this huge bloke ) Getting outed from Sweden at gunpoint after Jet Black kicked off in a bad way. In fact JJ reckons he's spent more time in prison cells due to Jet than any misdemeanours that JJ himself had caused. Only 60 mins long, but i could have listened to JJ all night. Interesting chap
  4. Sustain on that bass ? Now read the naysayers in the sustain thread Great bass tone. Wonder which bass that is... i recognise that Butterfly on the headstock and cant remember the damn builder
  5. Our band used to cover Footloose. Always went down a treat with the ladeeez
  6. Just a thought - i checked my track was playing ok, and after it finished, i got some random track playing straight after. How can this be stopped. It's like its on Autoplay or something, similar to YT, but you can disable that on YT
  7. Deep Purple held that record for a while
  8. http://geargods.net/gear-mystery/bryan-beller-on-bus-crashes-stolen-gear-and-forest-fires-in-the-life-of-bryan-act-xlv/
  9. Really, i was under the impression he got his gear back ?
  10. If you want a neat " My Feedback " wording instead of the fugly long URL that many have used, go to your signature in settings, hit the ' link ' button, ( just hover mouse over the options until ' Link ' appears ) and you will then get the option to add your feedback URL in the box provided, and your own wording in the box below. It helps to have 2 basschat pages open, so you can copy and past from your feedback URL into the siggy box pretty easily
  11. Didn't the same thing happen to Brian Beller ? It was documented on youtube i think. They got'em too. Brilliant
  12. Clarkey's gone ? Dammit, what a blow
  13. Very nice . This would be a good move for any Brum basser
  14. Ugh. Fugly Still, as always, one man's rack of lamb is another man's arsenic doughnut
  15. I'll be insisting any new band i join that they change their name to that. Lets hope its trio
  16. Well, we can assume that a Bonobo with a pipe wrench did the job
  17. Ah, right. I was scratching my noodle over that. I was thinking at one point that if i were to have picked the 44 button remote ( instead of 24 ) that the white block with the bigger remote was the reverse regarding plug ends. I.E. The white block for the big remote would have a male end, and this would obviously connect to the female spare end. But I like your idea better !
  18. Turn your amp up any time you hear a screaming match
  19. Yup, this lump of wood just gets weirder by the minute. Headstock looks glued on, and that odd tuning peg defies logic
  20. Well, just out of interest, i uncoiled everything to see how it joined up, but its rather confusing. Has 1 female plug and 1 male plug on the light strip (you can just see the plug ends in the pic ) But the connector on the white block has 1 female. ( see pic of white block ) So, the strip has one surplus female plug that is gonna be floating around. I dont get it ? Also the battery compartment in the remote wouldn't open, so cannot insert a battery. I tried too hard to get the tray open and a flimsy bit of plastic broke off, and the tray still didn't open. Its being returned sharpish
  21. I've been trying to find out the difference between the Hydrive HD112 and HX112. They seem to have identical spec, but look very different ???
  22. Who knows - i find the site confusing
