  2. I tried many times to use Geoff's fretting hand position, and TBH, its impossible for me due to some hand shape / size I have to use my normal shape fretting hand. I find its working ok. I'm never going to be Danny Thompson, but it'll be fun

    Odd balls

Rather than Frankenbasses, which appear to be basses cobbled together ( and many quite brilliantly ) by members, and has already been a rather big thread... has anyone bought an odd ball from a Pro ? ( Guitar shop, luthier etc ? ) I'm throwing this one of mine in - Unknown 3 part Ash P body, Unknown Peavey neck, Peavey tuners, reshaped headstock , jazz width at nut , Gotoh bridge Big allen head neck to body bolts, vintage Schaller Bass Bucker neck pup ( bluddy lovely too ) Dimarzio Model P DP 122 bridge pup. Vol, Blend, Tone. Simple
  9. Did you message him ? He's written that someone has informed him its a Shaftsbury. He sort of half disputes that though.
  10. I think the problem may have cleared itself .. 3 cheers for Dynorod
  11. Yeah that figures. I'm assuming the Shecter is a signature, being that it's called Ultrarcure
  12. I'm glad it wasn't just me. I clocked those strings at the start and thought, big bar stewards , or am i imagining it
  13. No i wouldn't ! I always thought he was a Parker Fly lover. He certainly was in Tinmen, IIRC Take another look at Smiths Schecter - it looks suspiciously like its been strung as a Baritone. Maybe thats exactly what those Schecters are ??
  14. And Bob Smith is also playing a Schecter. Seems to be an Ultracure ... 30" scale
  15. Longer arms ?
  16. Is your stand similar to mine ? I dont think this comes standard with the NXT, but it was included in the sale by the previous owner Mine seems well sturdy

    Hi All

    Evening Zen.
  21. Looks like Curzon ?
  22. Brill - Inbetween Days another killer, of which there are many, of course. Close to me is another
  23. Not yet Pierre, but sounds like a good idea. I've breezed over some of his vids, and the bloke is mustard I've been twatting around on the NS and loving it . It was hard to start with but its amazing how quickly one gets used to things. Having recorded with and still owning a fretless regular bass, some of the muscle memory is there, just gotta stretch a bit more.
  24. Yup - Cure fan here. Hiram - is Lullaby in that YT vid ? I didnt go through to find out, but i love this track
  25. Dear Cliff ! These NS Contemparies are magic. Just what i was after. No expensive Spiros for me, gents Bit of lowering on the bridge and i'm right there. Just got to blag some EUB talent now.
