  1. I do hope this brings in orders for ACG. If not swamped with work already, this will pump them up into orbit. Well deserved. ACG are up there with the most stunningly finished basses in the world. Its a small club, brilliant to know a UK builder is amongst the elite.
  2. Didnt there used to be a ' Threads i Started ' option, as well as ' My content ' ? If you only want to see threads you started , rather then everything you ever posted, you cant. At least i havent found it yet, if it is an option. I basically wanted to find all my ' For Sale threads, but can only find ' Manage My Content ', which is everything, and too cumbersome to trawl through
  3. Is it the equiv of dumping that 1.5 litre mini engine and slapping in a Mopar V8 big block ?
  4. I dub thee ' Sir Charic ' for services to BC, and your constant meddling with the mysteries of forum software
  5. Digging deep into my skills with mathematics ( not ) i make that 5 basses , down from 7 Then again, i'm not known for my dexterity in subtraction
  6. Just another thought .. one of my basses has a monster pickup ( Schaller Bassbucker ) right up the body next to the end of the fretboard That is a BIG sound, i can tell you. This can help a lot without having to resort to distortion, which is something i detest on bass, though peoples taste in bass tones vary, obviously
  7. Do you mean a 3 piece plus a crooner, or do you mean 4 piece as in guitar, bass , drums, and ...some other instrument ? I was in a 3 piece ( git , bass, drums ) for a few years when i lived in Northampton, and we picked our tracks so that the sort of thin sound you mention when solos kicked in was partly avoided. The other ways is your guitarists sound. Our git was well aware of this thinning out, and set his tone accordingly. Being a grade 8 teacher, he knew what to do to fill the sound, rather than leave that to the bass, which is much harder to do
  8. A hacked no name P Bass. Reshaped head, and tuners replaced by the looks of things Nasty
  9. The choice of main and complimentary woods is marvellous. The scale length doesnt work for me personally, but that bass in 34 or 35 would be stunning
  10. I emailed Clive Button a few months ago ( one of the original engineers of TE ) , and yes, he's still going, to ask about whacking in another amp, and although my particular model couldnt be swapped out, he told me that my original TE speakers will take a lot more than the amp was rated at. Whack the Ashdown in and keep the original TE drivers. Neos wont make much of a difference, as said already
  11. You've been a tad over enthusiastic with the hand movements , ooer matron
  12. Can only echo everyone else - superb work ladies
  13. Our Father, who art in Kevin, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Kevin
  14. You know kevin is a place where nothing ever happens ?
