3. I would say then, that if 10 times the power for a 150 watt combo is 1500 watt to hear doubling of perceived volume, then a 300 watt head isnt going to achieve much. And since only another combo head would fit, a 300 watt head is about all i could fit. Of the classic combos by TE, i dont think they got any bigger than that So, i guess ithings are best left as they are
4. Thanks ! I'm only curious at this point, but it has crossed my mind. I'm not totally sure, but the combos heads didnt seem to get much bigger than 300 watts ? Probaly not worth effort in that case. And yes, if i could muscle a 500 or 600 watt head in, i have four 10" Beymas i could fit, but then i suppose i would need to think about cab volume for those, and no doubt the cab would need modifying to use the 4 200 watt Beymas Its already looking like trouble Probably just leave it alone
5. Bit of a coincedence that you came up with that guy, as i've just emailed Clive Button, the original designer
6. Is it possible to swap heads on TE combos for a bigger job ? EG, 150 watt head in my GP11 MK V 4x10, for the AH500 or something similar ? Would it have to be an amp taken from another combo or will the stand alone heads slot in ? Cheers
7. He paid, he arrived, he played, he survived. Just like a right slapper.......and a scholar and gentleman. Cheers john

12.
Many years ago I stripped the varnish off an old chair leg as I repaired it, then tinted it with a mix of brown and black shoe polish to bring it close to the original colour, and then I revarnished it with a clear varnish. Yes it works, providing the wood surface is not sealed, and provided that you seal it afterwards. David
How did you get varnish to stay on a waxy finish like boot polish ?

20. That also sounds logical ...cheers
21. Sounds logical !
22. Some for oddball reason, i figured that the small 6 " drivers in my cabs would not suffer so badly as 10's side by side Strange little cabs these Markbass 604's ...they sound like you'd expect 15's to sound like. They have some serious low end. I wonder if eight 6" drivers shift as much air as two 15's ?
23. Do 4x6 cabs suffer the same combing / beaming as 4x10 cabs ? I'm kinda wondering if my MB 604 pair of cabs would be suffering the same
24. Oddly, some people in the past have listed this as a 150 watt combo, and some have listed as a 250 watt combo
