3.
That's not going to help anyone with gas for a Stingray is it? Can you give everyone a warning next time please
Yup, a big faux pas there by moi. Try and ignore it Pierre
4. Dorsey is ace. She's no one trick pony either. Check this 2000 vid of Bowie Live at the BBC Dorsey is leccy on guitar along with Earl Slick, while Mark Plati gets an abso fab tone on bass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3CuzBI4Nhk
5.
I like cassettes....
Mini Disc !
6. Her eyes are too far apart. Money back
7. The thing with vinyl is the fantastic artwork that crept in around the 70's or maybe late 60's And one in particular creamed them all and that was Tull's ' Thick As A Brick ' If anyone is young enough to remember the original and bought it on vinyl ( me ! ) it was utterly fabulous It was actually a bit of a piss take by Anderson, but he went to the extreme, as the album was just one track that started on side one and ended on side two. You had to like Tull i guess to buy their stuff, but it was fabulous music. Quite complex But the sleeve was out of this world. It was the size of a mini broadsheet newspaper, and it had pages and stories just like a newspaper. It really was the ultimate vinyl sleeve, IMO of course http://www.rhino.com/article/doing-a-180-jethro-tull-thick-as-a-brick
8.
Thanks for that, as a side note I also learned what OBBM stands for
The only thing i cant remember about the old days is why the Feds had it in for Bassworld
9. Argggggghhhhh!! The bloody Feds! http://forums.ernieb....html#post46505 https://www.talkbass.com/threads/bassworld-co-uk-now-called-basstalk-co-uk.326027/
10.
Unless they've changed the electronics since mine was made, you can play them in passive mode too. +1 for the Sire V7!
Yup .. my mistake. Mine can be passive if needed
11. Another vote for the Sire V7 Miller. I have the Natural Ash model. Just be aware that its active, because some prefer passive
12. Is it possibly a tax thing ? They're not ' selling ' anything if people are making a donation. I have no idea really but if it saves the BC big cheeses some money by wording it in their favour, good for them
13. Whats the diff between a calender year and 365 days ?
14. I own a BA600-115 and funnily enough, i thought it was maybe a tad under powered, in the fact that i thought the speaker driver wasn't manning up to the amp I took it round to a mate who stuck his active 5 string through it, and wound the combo up. I thought ' here we go ' voice coil met down or suspension collapse, or something. Nothing, not a jot. He kept his foot on the throttle till stuff started to wobble about on his shelves. That was pretty loud, is all i can say. Seems i wasnt giving the combo enough beans, so basically it likes to be pushed, with bass input rolled off just a tad on the guitar
15. I just had to check what i actually do with my fretting thumb, and it turns out that i dont press at all. I just mrerely rest it on the back of the neck, so there's virtually no pressure at all Funny thing, i've had the OP's problem in the back of my hand , which i assume is tendon, from the little finger to the wrist, and it sometimes becomes painful, and i've found that most times, if i bend all fingers backwards with my other hand till i hear a faint crack, that this sorts it. I guess the little finger is weaker than the others, and as I occasionally use the little finger ( and the 3rd ring finger too ) at times, i guess i'm creating a problem in that area
16. Sold Dave a pedal - no fuss, paid straight away and was informed when it had arrived. Couldnt be simpler. Dave comes recommended
17. He's a fabulous bloke and very honest / open. And a great musician Enjoyed the program a lot. He's flaky and fragile but it just shows he's a real human being. Also really glad that Splinter is getting great reviews. He deserves this
18. Seriously, you couldn't have googled it ? https://techboomers.com/t/delete-ebay-account
