1. Ha - Banbury bloke ! We gigged the Reindeer last month, and will be at the Dolphin next month ( sort of close to Banbury ) But yep, thats a ballpark rate but there may be variations , depending
2. Wished that had come up in my google searches http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Artec-CPB-12-Multi-Power-Supply-Power-up-to-12-guitar-pedals-at-once-CPB12-/391244862919?hash=item5b1802d5c7:m:mposrpICI6twLDQURFWsSRw I bought the Innogear in the end, so will use a splitter
3. Pubs seem to pay around the £250 mark ... at least ours do in Oxfordshire. Sometimes a bit cheaper, sometimes but not very often, a bit more
4. Noted mate - cheers Ordered a splitter and a coupler - job done
5.
Get a standard male/female splitter set up... and one of these, a male/male coupler. That'll be the one ! Where did you find that EBS ?
6. Small joke from me.. ear plugs are worth every penny
7. Read audio ... R303 Initial payment : £200.00 Followed by 11 monthly payments of £54.55 I could buy a new set of ears for that
8.
I wear substantial ear plugs so don't get the actual sound anyway as we're far too loud for me
From another Essex chap no less ! This is a copy of us. Its our Les Paul wielding maniac that cant seem to turn down. I wear ear plugs mostly because of him, but i've had problems from the cymbals before now making my right ear go fuzz fuzz, as i stand right next to the tubbist So , between the LP maniac and the Tubbist - i'm between a rock and a hard place We did manage a sound check at last nights gig, but we dont always get one
9. So, the police didnt even come round to check the pick axe for finger prints .. why not ? Budget cuts ? A few years back i had my van broken into - not much to take, but they got away with some tools and other replaceables. Called the feds but they weren't interested. They said it had been raining so there's no point. It wasn't raining inside my van says me. Fell on deaf ears
10. I'm in the market for one of these too, but most of what i've found here have a female one and 2 males on the other. I need male to two males
11. This is the TGI http://www.guitar.co.uk/tgi-tgipb1-power-box-micro-power-supply?gclid=CKzv-bDmrMsCFQUq0wodjgwJ8g
12. This is the Nordell http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nordell-Isolated-Output-Supply-Effects/dp/B00Q8V2IH8
13.
TRex Chamelon runs 5 x 300mA 9V switchable to 12V
Must admit , not heard of that one - going for a search I have looked at the TGI , Nordell , Soundlab and Innogear
14.
How about getting a splitter cable and sharing the 500mA output between the Soundblox and BSW? If your figures are correct, combined they'll only draw between 200mA and 420mA.
Now why didnt i think of that ? This why its best to ask
15. Just about every power brick type supply i've searched for seems to limit the multi 9v outputs to 100ma I must admit though that i'm not looking at the Rolls Royce prices of CIOKS and VOODOO LABS. Most reasonably priced bricks do include , or seem to, one 500ma 9v, with the rest being 100ma ( not really concerned too much about 12v or 18v that some bricks include, although the 18v may come in handy at a later date ) My problem is that i run a Soundblox pro BEF , which is 120ma, so yes i could use the one 500ma 9v output, but then i also run a BSW which apparently needs variable ma between 80 and 300ma. Kinda leaves me in a predicament. I also run a Line 6 Liqua Flange for chorus only, and Korg Pitch Black, but i hate the Line 6 so that will be exchanged for a different chorus at some point Is there nothing out there for my set up ?
16. I know you're sorted now, but re. the AKAI's.. If you want to sample, it will have to be the MPX16. The MPX8 only plays back samples stored via SD card Also, the MPX8 is a right bar steward....finicky about formats ( 16 bit WAV only and stereo WAVS halve the memory ), getting samples to load can be a pain, lots of load time if samples are big MB's Maybe the MPX16 is a similar nightmare, only with the ability to sample being the difference Best avoided
17. CTS and Alpha seem to be the ones most people go for / have heard of, but you could try Bourns pots. They seem to be great quality. As always, YMMV
18. Ouch - playing and singing. Luckily i only have to cope with backing vox, praise the force. Even then, some stuff i cannot do, depending on the bass line i'm twiddling at the time. Gotta respect the ability to do both simultaneously And..i never knew the Mac played a Wal. I must have been living in a cave.
19.
I wasn't worrying. And I found it funny. As did a few others. so, you know, lighten up...
IMO i think the Mac is a fine basser. He's not in yer face, true, but he's written some sweet bass lines. Paperback Writer is a killer. Wonder if that was on the Hofner ?
20. What a lovely bass Shame about the tiresome same old slap sh*te.
21. Yup the toned down colour helps a tad ... still too much for me though. One man's goat baguette is another man's arsenic bap
22. Fo sho I loved Straker and his crew. I just dont like those cabs - Italian flair has gone a bit too far. Bit marmite maybe. Some will love, some will hate. Thats the joy though !!
