1. It hasn't sold yet - shock horror probe
2. 4. Add a Danelectro during the Helium Kids era http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xlH9eyyZ0M
5. Thanks Big Red What an oddball
6. Yup, Ibanez Musician definately and fretless http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07Fp-omNXCw Wal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Amx5CK7vdoc Fendery looking plank http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qH3IByibTpM Weird looking plank http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=We2ORbOVFuw
7. They should be issued with a roll of Andrex , but every time i've heard one, they sound the asbo lute puppie's conkers
8. They seem to make a fair range of pedals, yet have left out Octavers and E.Filters
9. SIT Silencers - they feel like a chrome, though not quite as smooth, but near as dammit They give a tad more bite than chromes, which is why i use them on my fretless.
10. One of these. 150kg and under £20 and they fold almost flat. They take up less room than a folding upright sack truck type Best £19 ever spent http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-FLAT-PLATFORM-TROLLEY-WHEELED-SACK-TRUCK-CART-PALLET-FOLDING-HANDLE-150KG-/171938986722?hash=item28085cbae2:g:D0AAAOSwPc9W2A3p
11. RB40's on my fretteds and SIT Silencers on the fretless I'm happy enough, especially since i snagged 3 sets of RB40's for £7 a pack. Never seen them at that prce before that or since then. Shame
12. 2 ? 45 mins a set and 2 sets for us
13. Fool, along with Ain't No Love and Come On, are all in our set list, and rather than try to copy Neil's sweet fretwork, i stick to the basics and use my own fills. We're not a concours tribute act, so the accuracy is not important, as long as the fundamental riff is there. The fluff on top, is Neil's own icing on the cake, and isn't truly necessary IMO PS. Come on and Ain't No Love are so much easier , but i'd bet one of Neil's basses ( you listening Neil ? ) my lines, even for those, are not truly accurate And i may have just won one of Neil's basses
14. Those gusses are unique, i have to say. I'd even play one, but i wouldnt pay for it. If i had the money to buy a Fodera , i still wouldn't. I'd take my cash to ACG and get him to build me a one off fretted and matching fretless, and still have enough sheckles left to buy a forest of sustainable cocobolo ( love that wood ) Still, everyone to their own..makes the world go round, guv
15. There are some things we might do on the hoof, but only if we have to. We dropped a track at last saturdays gig, cos the voxist's larynx was giving up ( had a throat infection a few weeks before and was only just about recovered ) and had to throw in a backup , but i guess most of us have standbys for such occasions, so no real trauma
16. 8 I bought 3 sets of these on eebuygumbay at a price that i havent seen repeated again. They seem to be hovering around the £13 area, but i grabbed 3 packs @ £7 per pack. Must have been some kinda clearout. Never saw them again http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rotosound-Roto-Bass-Yellow-4-String-Set-RB-40-40-60-80-100-Made-in-the-UK-/231454896878?hash=item35e3c972ee:g:9GIAAOSw1vlUuQ7u
17.
This would do my nut in.
And mine We work off of a set list. Only 2 slow numbers, one each set. We dont gauge audiences either - they get what we give 'em
18. There's nothing more frustrating than starting a band from scratch. Its partly why i've been in the same band for the last 7 years , but if we folded, i'd just look for one that was established already and simply looking for bassister
19. Going OT so will pm you Paul
20. Kapowwww ! Hmphhhhpppt !!
21. Ha - Banbury bloke ! We gigged the Reindeer last month, and will be at the Dolphin next month ( sort of close to Banbury ) But yep, thats a ballpark rate but there may be variations , depending
22. Wished that had come up in my google searches http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Artec-CPB-12-Multi-Power-Supply-Power-up-to-12-guitar-pedals-at-once-CPB12-/391244862919?hash=item5b1802d5c7:m:mposrpICI6twLDQURFWsSRw I bought the Innogear in the end, so will use a splitter
23. Pubs seem to pay around the £250 mark ... at least ours do in Oxfordshire. Sometimes a bit cheaper, sometimes but not very often, a bit more
24. Noted mate - cheers Ordered a splitter and a coupler - job done
