1. Hi - its 11" from the rack strips ( where your amp ears bolt to ) , to the back cheers
2.
Perhaps people are drawn towards things that sound like a bit of a car crash?
Rubber neckers ? Yuuuuup !
3. J RETRO SOLD U-RETRO STILL UP FOR GRABS
4. Sneaky birthday prezzie from my ( now Ex ) girlfriend...Sheryl Crow, Shepherds Bush Empire. She brought on Clapton On Sea as a surprise guest. No surprise that he spoilt the show for 2 or 3 tracks
5. yeah that makes more sense - and the cymbals look good too, in which case, job done
6. Its just a discussion .. dont seen anyone losing the plot over it
7. If he was showing off his skills, i wouldnt hire him. He can play, and he has the technique, but he just tripletted and falammed all over a track that didnt require it. If he was just showing off his talent, he should have just played to a backing track or something
8. Well he can certainly play but as said, he's not very sympathetic to the song. The silly mask / make up is a bit irritating but not relevant The big faux pas is the horrible drum sound. Its an acoustic instrument and all those lovely responsive overtones have gone , and in place of that, he's left us with the sound of someone playing a lump of Play Doh covered in cotton wool Yuk
9. Hey, they're really going for it.. http://www.chasedirect.co.uk/guitars/bass-guitars/guvnor-gb-704-four-4-string-bass-electric-guitar-new?cPath=1_15&
10. Its starting to look like in 20 years, someone will be posting ' Chase Guvnors - what's all the fuss ? "
11. Go for broke and fit top class pots - Bourns or CTS, but Bourns take the biscuit http://www.seymourduncan.com/forum/showthread.php?213849-Bourns-vs-CTS-pot-which-one-is-better
12. Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil gunstock finish is fabulous. Just my preference
13. Never use glue for nuts The best stuff i've found is clear silicone sealant - usually found in automotive shops. 1 little dab each end of the nut will be fine. It takes longer to set ( leave over night ) but will be a doddle to take the nut off anytime in the future, and it wont rip any wood off when removing If you get your nut sorted, dont use glue next time
14. Dammit - now you've done it You think i should keep it ?
15. Case proven m'lud Actually, it sold for £45 and on here some moons ago, and i made a tenner, not fifteen IIRC. Wish i still had it really
16. What a brilliant coup this thread is - your mum would be proud 7 pages to discover that a particular bass is liked and not liked. Something which could be said about every bass made, from a £40 Chase Guvnor * ( yes i owned one ! see Bee low ) to a £5k Ritter bootick slab. Of course, you have to pick the right bass to conjur up such a thread. 10/10 for that. A rollercoaster of a chit chat and should be out in paperback very soon Talking of real estate going spare, check this baby * The offending Chase. PS i made money on this, seriously. About £15
17. Next in the herd for a right culling is my Boschma 3U shallow rack case.
18. Kaboom !!
19. Kabooom !!
20. Not unless you have an Ampeg BA 600 ? If not, just the cash , thanks
21. Yup, its available. Dont know why i didnt post it with the knobs attached. Must have had a mental breakdown. I didn't get any knobs with mine, because when i went to John's, he was out of stock ( and still is i think ) of the U-Retro Deluxe Flat Response preamps with knobs, so i bought it ( maybe the last one ? ) without knobs and then supplied my own. I had single stack knobs here but bought the 2 weird stacked knobs for the push pull pots
22. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ East U-Retro 5 Pot Deluxe. This is also the modern screw terminal for pickup wires, and the optional Flat Reponse electronics Great condition. Was meant to be for a Fretless project, but the project has been abandoned due to sheer laziness £125 Includes postage
