  2. Voltorol was pretty good for very bad Osteo after i dislocated my hip in a car RTA. It didnt work for ever though, as i had to have a new hip. The other stuff is Glucosamine. I cant say whether this stuff works for everyone, but it worked for my dog. She had a bad limp after running around, and it showed up more after she had rested and couldnt stand on one of her back legs for 30 seconds or so until it eased off. Vet diagnosed a problem with the joint in her rear knee. She started on expensive vet prescribed drugs, one of which made her a bit sick, so i did some extensive research online for a more natural medicine. This was 25 years ago-ish, and i discovered Glucosamine was a thing for people. I sourced some from a company called Healthspan in Jersey. I weighed my girl, and reduced the Glucasomine accordingly. Within 3 months, i couldnt tell she had arthritis, it was that much of a revelation. She stayed on Glucosamine for the rest of her life
  3. How weird - we auditioned our new drummer last night. A Mancunian who loved us, and we got on with him a treat, and he's a good tubbs man He's in ! Now we're a Scouser, a Manc, and 3 soft southern barstewards
  4. No band is fully 100% democratic, otherwise ( in say a 5 piece ) if there were 5 different decisions for something, it would stall. You either agree at the beginning of the band to have a majority vote to sort those kind of scenarios, or someone will have to make a decison on things. But as long as the band have their say of course. Sometimes its not the leader ( if you have one ) that always makes the best decision, so input fron everyone is paramount. In our crew, it's usually me and our rhyth gitwrist that steer things ( we started the band ) but we all contribute and make a decision on what is best for us all, whenever thats possible. Dictatorships dont work, IMO.
  5. I thought i had read on here that someone had contacted Securus about the Ebay thing and got a reply that Ebay purchases are no problem. I had a search but failed to find it
  6. Beggs is an awesome basser - i know someone that lives in the same town, and occiaionally bumps into him here and there and always manages a friendly chat. My pal said he was an absolutely lovely human being. He also he was a bit of a joker at times. He has his own YT channel
  7. I see no stinking adverts
  8. You wouldnt know unless you read their small print. Oh, they'll let you fill in the form and add the insurance. Very clever. But if it goes awol or gets damaged they'll invoke their small print. IIRC, the most they'll pay out on a bass is 100 quids
  9. About 1985/6 or before i'd say Clive Button designed everything from '85/6 on, and the GP11 was not his design, so it must either be before '86/85 or earlier When Fred Friedlein owned TE, Stuart Watson was the engineer designing the TE amps , including the GP11
  10. Lemon Squeezy, as the OP asked how many basses. 1 bass. Give me a few weeks and it will be 3
  11. I saw Crimson at Friars in Aylesbury during the Adrian Belew era when their album Disicpline was out. Monstrously good gig. Levin was fab, as you might imagine, but Belew was a madman. Brilliant though. Just the one drummer, Bill Bruford, natch
  12. Thanks, yeah that's them
  13. 30 grand a year per pupil, he tells me
  14. I agree. I really dislike that position for the jack. Consequently, my next 2 basses in the pipeline will have front mounted jacks

Its hard to imagine the concept. No way to intonate it for a start, as there's no adjustment at the bridge that i can see.
  16. There's also just one left at BAX, and initially cheaper than Thomann, but BAX charge for shipping. https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/bass-guitar-cases-bags/enki-amg-2-electric-bass-guitar-case-for-2x-basses
  17. This might be a tad horrifying to compact desk officianados, but we have 3 guitars , keys, bass, 4 mics, drumkit. The weirdest thing is that the desk ( Soundcraft LX7 ll ) was found by the rhyth git in a skip at the private school he works at. They lobbed it away. He saw it and chucked it in the boot of his Audi. It's bigger than we need but, hey.
  18. No Horrible sound

The flat random noodling is pretty zzzzzzz but i wasnt interested in that, more that the pickup engineering is pointlessly over engineered, and tone is pretty nasty, and it looks like it was built at a creche

I think not. Nothing about this floats my kayak
  21. I know it's a Prog thread but i cant help posting a bit of Danny on bass. Such a special man. Track written by vocalist Jacqui McShee
  22. Another fine band. Not least because they had the brilliant Danny Thompson on URB. I admit to owning some Pentangle
  23. I would say no Daddy. For reference, here's what i call a bit of fusion. Could also called be Jazz Fusion i suppose
