  1. Django Reinhardt only needed 2 fingers
  2. The NS design EUB's are very nice. I used to own the NS NXT4 and loved it. I stuck round wounds on mine. Couldnt justify hanging on to it, as it didnt fit the music i ended playing
  3. Someone has to. You have a tendency to be abrasive, and also to post rubbish as facts
  4. A decent strap is a must. My beast is a 4" Italia Leather, and very expensive. There are other 4" bass straps available far cheaper. Wide straps make a bass seem light. I had a 10LB Aria Pro ll SB900 in the past, and that Italia strap made it seem way lighter. Make sure the inside of the strap is grippy.
  5. Rik of Kenable Ltd contacted me and advised that 1.00mm2 copper is needed, and so i ordered these in 2 x 5M lengths. They arrived and they're excellent quality. Sturdy / heavy duty but so much more flexible than the nasty stiff Yamaha supplied cables Job done
  6. Same here ... + the Micro Thump
  7. A template for pup routs is essential, and i suggest Simo in the Affiliates forum. He made me a beautiful sturdy perspex template. Just give him accurate dimensions. I used digital calipers
  8. I have that very tool.
  9. Saw these Brit bluesers in Oxford, and they were fablioso Some lovely harmonica at 4:21
  10. I likes me a bit of Kenny Wayne Shephard He released Ledbetter Heights when was 18. Blimey - i'd only just finished climbing trees.
  11. Or a box of spare F holes
  12. I like people who try to think in curved lines. Couldn't live with a 12lb bass let alone guitar, but i loved the idea. His guitar made out of newspapers is just as entertaining, and a little bit lighter They both sound great IMO
  13. Nice Travis Bean
  14. Toothpick ?
  15. Great Kenable cables checkout didnt work, a couple of other cable sellers sites wouldnt open, and a fruitless search for anyone else selling flexible IEC ( C13 ) 5 metre mains leads. Apparently, the word flexible isnt something thats a concern for advertisers.
  16. I have a pair of active Yamaha tower PA's ( 1000 watt per tower ) and wanted to buy 2 new 240v mains power / IEC cables, because the originals supplied are too stiff ( outer casing ? ) and wont lay flat or curve round conveniently. I emailed Kenable asking for flexible mains/IEC cables and they've asked me what the cables are for Quote : We stock two types, one is more flexible rated at 0.75mm2 copper (5 amp rated) and the thicker cables usually have 1.00mm2 on the cable rated for 10A devices Do amps need more higher rated fuses depending on their output ? I havent got the PA with me so i cannot check the fuses in the original cables.
  17. Well, if ya wanna get ahead, get a ..
  18. Wow dude, you look really wasted
  19. Have you got kennel cough as well ?

  21. Voltorol was pretty good for very bad Osteo after i dislocated my hip in a car RTA. It didnt work for ever though, as i had to have a new hip. The other stuff is Glucosamine. I cant say whether this stuff works for everyone, but it worked for my dog. She had a bad limp after running around, and it showed up more after she had rested and couldnt stand on one of her back legs for 30 seconds or so until it eased off. Vet diagnosed a problem with the joint in her rear knee. She started on expensive vet prescribed drugs, one of which made her a bit sick, so i did some extensive research online for a more natural medicine. This was 25 years ago-ish, and i discovered Glucosamine was a thing for people. I sourced some from a company called Healthspan in Jersey. I weighed my girl, and reduced the Glucasomine accordingly. Within 3 months, i couldnt tell she had arthritis, it was that much of a revelation. She stayed on Glucosamine for the rest of her life
  22. How weird - we auditioned our new drummer last night. A Mancunian who loved us, and we got on with him a treat, and he's a good tubbs man He's in ! Now we're a Scouser, a Manc, and 3 soft southern barstewards
  23. No band is fully 100% democratic, otherwise ( in say a 5 piece ) if there were 5 different decisions for something, it would stall. You either agree at the beginning of the band to have a majority vote to sort those kind of scenarios, or someone will have to make a decison on things. But as long as the band have their say of course. Sometimes its not the leader ( if you have one ) that always makes the best decision, so input fron everyone is paramount. In our crew, it's usually me and our rhyth gitwrist that steer things ( we started the band ) but we all contribute and make a decision on what is best for us all, whenever thats possible. Dictatorships dont work, IMO.
