  1. I had a pair and they were excellent
  2. http://www.armstrongpickups.co.uk/miscellaneous-pickups/
  3. This is a public forums. It would be a good idea to remove your mobile and ask people to PM for that contact number instead
  4. Yes, i can confirm - here's a thread i've contributed to. Any thread i posted in has a star.
  5. I see your point, but I would think a stepped drill bit would be easier and more accurate , no ?
  6. Well how many bassers out there want Midi bass ? Thats pretty niche. 3 or 4 years for a build is rediculous unless they have an enormous order book. Even Wal dont quote that long, do they ?
  7. Vari- focals are like looking out of a fishbowl. I went for Bi-focals, or Bi-vocals if you're called @Velarian Sorry V
  8. I don't see how a Forstner bit would work, as they can't be centrered on a hole that's already there.
  9. How do they stay in business with those build times ?
  10. Great tutes indeed. I used to play Halloween on fretless, and although this guy isnt giving a tute, it's an easy enough bass line to play, and one of my fave Japan tracks
  11. Brilliant - some bassisters have a sense of humour
  12. Boss VE20 here, used for backing only. Has everything needed. I believe there's a Boss VE2 now which is smaller than mine. Take the time to set it up properly and they work fine
  13. I'm not going to be much help, as i was the other way round. I started on guitar and moved to drums first then bass. I could already use all the left hand fingers by the time i moved to bass, and still use all four when fretting bass, though not chords. I have a spanking Taylor 12 electro for when i feel like a twang
  14. Someone's having a giraffe. 9k for a poorly made bass when it was new, but has since spent it's last years at the bottom of a pond ? Looks in worse condition than a plasterer's radio Bleugh
  15. Nationofzeros logged in here 45 mins ago, so assume he's seen the lastest posts
  16. I've had an Alder Jazz body off Northwest and it was superb.
  17. Dont worry, he's way down the bassist food chain compared to Pasty, Entwistle and Flea
  18. He was, as was Eno But Mackay, Ferry, and Thompson missing ? I suppose some bands are back on the circuit without any original members and still call themselves by their original name, but for me, thats Trigger's broom. Roxy with just 2 members just isnt Roxy
  19. Got the studio CD, had if for decades Studion version is called Liston Now, and came out in '77, a year after 801 Live - brilliant, but AFAIK Eno is the only original Roxy member, so it's not just a Roxy album minus Ferry
