Trace Elliot tuning port rings? (Or anything that'll fit!)
fleabag replied to TRBboy's topic in Amps and Cabs
Buy one of these for £6.31 posted and cut the tube off, and leave an inch of tube so some of it will poke inside the cab, and run a bead of silicone round it to keep it in place. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133538144762?chn=ps&_ul=GB&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=133538144762&targetid=1404115578853&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9046134&poi&campaignid=17218284410&mkgroupid=142217514411&rlsatarget=pla-1404115578853&abcId=9300867&merchantid=7255684 My mistake - £6.51- 17 replies

Removing a plaster from a wound is 10 x more painful than just ripping it off in one go, rapido. Ask female lady vox to meet in a cafe. Seagull : " Hi " Female lady vox : " What's up ? " Seagull : " Foxtrot Oscar " Female lady vox : " ?? " Seagull : " Bye " Plaster successfully ripped off.

Anyone else find Electronic Drums weird?
fleabag replied to Lfalex v1.1's topic in General Discussion
AS someone that used to be a drummer and gigged extensively with a Roland V kit, i can say most of the problems are down to user input / output. Having said that, E drum kits were not that brilliant when they first emerged. But improvemenst are always made in any tech every year, so today they're pretty fabulous, as long as the drummer bothers to go into the brain and tweak. They certainly dont sound good if they're swamped in reverb. The only drum that possibly needs reverb is the snare, and even then, a short gated reverb is all thats required. Subtlety is everything. EQ ing BD , Toms, and Snare takes time but the balance that can be achieved over acoustic kits is way superior, and no mics required, which saves a LOAD of hassle I loved my Roland , but i would love todays kits even more if i was still playing drums. I wouldn't hesitate to use another. But bass has been my wepaon for over 20 years now. -
I'm a take 2 basses to gigs, but i use them both. One fretted, one fretless. I like to live on the edge so dont take spares, apart from 2 x 9v batts for my 18v active fretted
-
Nice looking boxes Chris, but they're over double the price of rushbo's Wish box
-
Not £12 anymore - nearly £18 with postage, but if it does the job ! And it will run on 9v batt, which saves buying a power supply and somewhere to plug it in.
-
Would it work without the power to the LEDs ? Again, @Chienmortbb
-
That would definately be better than an AB box that needs power. I wonder if @Chienmortbb would recommended it ?
-
Probably a great bit of kit, but if i have to add another box, the AB100 is half that size
-
You got me there .. i dont even know that model. The only real reason i splashed the cash on the Ibby is because i wanted a 35" scale bass that wasnt too shabby. I was actually looking for a DeArmond Pilot Deluxe 4 Natural NT which i've owned in the past but they're really tricky to find
-
Or maybe use the A/B pedal i have ( Behringer AB 100 ) though its extra baggage and needs power too.
-
That never even crossed my mind. I was just trying to save time. I'll give the idea up and just manually switch basses.
-
Yup cheers PTP... here's mine in bold MK-2 Pickups. These can now be upgraded to the new H65 for 5-string models and the H66 for 6-string models. Available in 2JSquared(2J), Original Series (C), Classic Bass (CBC), or Singularity (S). BTB676 BTB775 BTB575 BTB770pb four string bass. Bartolini does not yet offer upgrades for this pickup shape. The electronics in this model can be upgraded with HR5.2AP/918

Passive A/B box negates the need for yet another PS, but its yet another box , so hmmm... i'm weighing it up. The Ebay item is actually on Amazon, but i hear what you say. I cant tell whether they messed up the description ( it's a Chinese adaptor ) or not. Even if not, the descripton is still odd. As i mentioned, it simply looks like 2 mono in 1 mono out, yet they mention stereo but i see nothing that makes that jack / adaptor stereo. Surely mono in is mono out ?
-
Yes, that was my understanding, but you certainly wouldn't notice a low output. It has as much as my custom Manton. I didnt find them dark, but then i dont have any basses with original Barts to compare
-
I should have said i run into a tiny pedal board first, which is just a Wah and a Chorus. There would still only be the single output cable to the amp Funny you mention A/B boxes as i have 2 ( for some odd reason ) of the Behringer AB100's but its another damn pedal to take and another power supply. I dont need a power bank because i only have 2 pedals, so i'd have to buy another 9v mains for it, and there's no room on the board for another pedal. Tricky sitch, really. I'm preferring the first one TBH, as long as it's 2 mono in and 1 mono out, but their description doesnt read that way. I find the description very odd
-
I looked at those Kenable types on Amazon and a couple of people said they had connectiopn issues but you never know if they themselves bu$$ered it up. So maybe it's the answer
-
I should add that the tone from the " Bartolinis " is wonderful combined with the Bart 3 band preamp. I say " .... " because the bass is Indonesian built, so the Mk 2 Barts may not be American. Or maybe they ARE American but just built under licence because of cheaper labour, but which ever it is, the tones available are brill.
-
This is the alternative but these type look flimsy and vulnerable

I need a 2 female mono jack in to single mono male jack out adapter, for 2 basses into one amp input and this looked like a candidate, but their info / blurb is somewhat confusing. It simply looks like a dual mono female jack to a single mono male jack to me, but read what they say... not cheap either for just an adapter This 1/4 TS male to 2 female splits the instrument's mono output into two identical signals. Note: This 1/4 TS Y splitter adapter cable receives the stereo signal and divides it 1 into 2, converting it into two separate stereo outputs, it cannot combine the two outputs into one input. https://www.amazon.co.uk/XMSJSIY-6-35mm-TS-Gold-Plated-Cable-50cm/dp/B0BWLXSTZ9/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1ADHRXOWEMFR7&keywords=1%2F4"+Male+to+Dual+Mono+1%2F4"+Female+Adapter&qid=1703168894&s=electronics&sprefix=1%2F4+male+to+dual+mono+1%2F4+female+adapter+%2Celectronics%2C130&sr=1-3
