Bassassin said some were actually playable. The woods were nice, not a lot wrong with the pickup and pots. Its just those who's necks went warp factor 9 got them a reputation. I was just unlucky.

I chucked my first in a skip. It was a nasty Satellite neck through P bass. The nastiness was the banana neck that many of these Satellite neck through P's had. Not all, obviously but enough to get a reputation. I sadly had one of the bananas. @Bassassin made a post about these being FCN's budget planks, and being made in Korea at a time when quality was missing

Thanks K I had 2 pics from my Sarzo sat in the C4 folder by mistake and simply fired them all on here thinking they were all C4 photos. I should have seen the tuners were different

I had a C4 a few years ago, and wondered why the hell i sold it. Lovely bass. Love Peavey 4 string necks, probably why i've also owned 2 Rudy Sarzo Peaveys C4 pics, and also the serial number of mine, though i didnt bother checking the date

All pups are Dimarzio Area J's apparently. Apparently he's checking the tone difference in diiferent positions, rather than demoing Dimarzios Not sure how useful this is, as its just one make of pickup , but hey. Choose your poison - i'm probably weird but all 5 on was my top choice, even though this is not a real life likely setup.

I must admit, back in the days when i used My Herpes direct, £110 worth of kitchen tiles went ' missing ' The postcode turned out to be the Chinese takeaway next door, but i spoke to the takeaway mananger in person, and there was no such delivery. The driver had simply trotted off with them, but no signature was available. Driver simply stated ' delivered' and that was good enough for MH. I got my bank involved, reluctantly by them, because i'd paid via Paypal, who were also useless. If the item was ' deliverd' that was also good enoigh for Paypal, with no proof of that delivery. So yes, i've missed out when using MH direct, and they were a nightmare to deal with. Facebook complaints only, as they removed their customer service phone number, for obvious reasons. Then the Facebook messages stopped. They simply washed their hands of it, hence me going to my bank. Using a broker, its the broker who has to deal with the courier, which if using MH as the courier, is much better. Maybe i got lucky - who knows

Bought some MEC pickups, 270 euros total, shipped, from Warwick Germany on the 7th Jan. Parcel arrived 14th Jan. No fuss no foul

I had a parcel go missing after using brokers Interparcel, and using My Hermes as the courier. Interparcel refunded me within 5 days of contacting them. Just a couple of emails each way and it was sorted
