  1. Yesterday, he decided to confirm the cancelletion after all this time. Why didnt he do it when he was asked. He wasnt going to collect so he was fackin around for the sake of it. I'm assuming that he finally confirmed because i bought one of his items , and paid using the CC option, but i dont have a CC registered, so all this time, it just says ' payment pending ' And now he's opened an unpaid item case. As if he thinks thats gonna scare me into paying.
  2. I think this situation we find ourselves in is harder for the top bands and the clamping down on entertainment is a great loss. Not so much for pub bands where my level is, though of course its still a pain and very sad. Funny you cant find a leccy kit player, because before i started playing bass, i was just that ..a drummer with a Roland kit in a very good gigging Northampton band I wonder just how many venues will be left standing after this rediculous sh!tstorm finally moves on. PS that WAL is nice, but it seems you get a monster tone whatever you play. Talking of which, listen to Gail Dorsey on this track. I've been chasing tone for years and if i could replicate her sound on this track, i would end the search. Maybe i need a Stingray, but i guess there's more to it than just the bass. Anyways, i wish you well and dont lose heart. You're too good to fade away
  3. Good call - thats exactly what it looks like. One could polish that turd, and end up with a polished turd
  4. This bloke is ace
  5. I'm a bit late to the party here, but dear cliff, what a friggin fabulous line up Warren ! Some utterly fab recordings and great musicianship by all. Stand outs for me, because they just happen to be some of my fave DB tracks, were Fame, Moonage, and Breaking Glass. Nice basses too. One of them looked like a series 3 Wal but i dunno. Keep at it WB
  6. I prefer tinkering than watching
  7. Nice axe bro
  8. It looks pretty fab but for me, the pups are round the wrong way. MM at bridge and J at the neck YMMV
  9. I wonder what the hell you're going on about
  10. Thankeeee I have a razor like jib
  11. I did cancel the sale, but the buyer has to confirm. Instead of confirming, he marked it as payment sent. Now its hassle. Still ...he's gonna find this out for himself now.
  12. Well, i've just done the same to him. Bought a 150 quid item, and marked it payment made, but didnt pay him. Lets see what the w@anker makes of that
  13. Ah, but you didnt.
  14. I sent moron number 4 the ' cancel this auction ' option, since the message he sent above means he wasnt going to collect. Instead of agreeing the cancellation, he ticked the 'this item has been paid for ' in the auction options. Obviously he didnt actually send any money otherwise it'd be in my PP account He's got a big feedback amount, and knows what he's doing, so this was done out of spite. Heaven knows why. A shame we'll never meet up.
  15. Yup, Ebay again. Listed 4 bass related items for sale, all collection / cash only...no Paypal 3 winning bidders sent Paypal payments. I seem to attract the hard of thinking. The fourth one didnt even pay. Just sent a message to say they didnt realise it was collection only. It was stated in the auction in two places, but moron number 4 skipped that bit.
  16. This one is more like 'Y' factor than 'X' factor
  17. Thats why i mentioned ' pleasing the management ' Its a business decision, and if you lose business because you hire a woman, then hire a bloke
  18. It seems there's just two choices. Please the management and get a man. Or please the band and get the best singer for the job, whatever gender they maybe. If i auditioned some vocalists , men and women, and a woman had the best vocals and fitted in with the rest of the band, she'd get the job. I wouldnt be having management telling me what gender of musician i should be hiring, but thats just IMO
  19. It is certainly a stunning looking bit of wood Matron
  20. There's a few builders here that can do that, i would imagine, but i had a custom cover built by Andy JR for an Aaron Armstrong custom pickup. Cover was built from Purpleheart, as was the control panel
  21. Refunded my 50 quid at last. They kept the 7 quid booking fees though.
  22. I've never understood why Status Updates is even here. Its not private so anything posted there can just be posted in one of the sections of the main forums
  23. He's good
