  1. Actually, its now become a bit cheeky to be called Brand X if none of the originals are in the line up
  2. Interesting that wish planks auto-mate all the wrong notes in all the wrong places.
  3. You can polish a turd, no probs. It'll just look like a polished turd.
  4. I didnt know that paint was restricted, but it hasnt stopped me getting paint in the post, as recently as a couple of days ago.
  5. Even the tragic excuse for a courier, My Hermes, dont get as low as 40%. 95% sounds attractive. But if you send 100,000 parcels a year , then 5,000 people are going to get disappointed
  6. Until you look at the photo on a slightly larger scale, and then you realise Nancy Johnson is 100% correct
  7. Thats the point though - all couriers can be and have been unreliable at one point or another. You'll find rants about every courier known to man on this forum, so what do you do ...never ever send another parcel ? The trouble is, humans are involved. They/we make mistakes and will do for the rest of time. Sometimes as uk lefty says, its the sytem that breaks down rather than human cok ups.. Doesnt help anyone in that situation, but its not going to stop
  8. Thats my reasoning for asking. If the saw goes across a tight radius, say a Jazz, in a straight cut, then the middle bit of the cut will be lower than the edges, and as you say Maude, there will be a slight hollow under the middle of the fret. I dont know either if its ok or not. Never built a neck
  9. They are so neat looking, very tidy Andy
  10. How does this work if you have a tight radius, say like a Jazz. Will the saw " curve " over the radius so that the fret cut is the same depth all across the fretboard ?
  11. They look much better than yer bog standard screws, thanks to @Andyjr1515 Here's what they look on my AJR bass
  12. Its going back, but blimey guv, what a bluddy faff. I've been told that i must pack it properly ( they're arranging courier ) cos they wont be responsible for damage occurred in transit if its badly packed. Sure, fair enough. Thats ok with me. I then tell them i can pack well, but once its left my house, its out of my control, and i cant be responsible for YOUR courier throwing it around and causing damage, however well packed it is. They then say they're not going to send a courier, because i've not taken responsibility for the parcel all the way back to them ? WTF ? I told them i've packed and sent basses and cabs many times, and recently sent a cab to the Czech Rep. ( true ) and i know how to pack. They've arranged collection for Mon, but jeeeez....if the courier drops it from a great height, or reverses over it in a truck, no amount of packing will save it. But it will still be my fault.
  13. Its already in the notable deaths 2020 thread - 4 hours ago
  14. No worries chap - thanks for posting Its going back to HW Audio who have responded and they'll collect it, fix it, and return it. Its only 5 months old
  15. Yeah i did. There was nothing connected
  16. If it's any extra help, the volume on the amp can be completely off, or maxed out, and the level of loud humming doesnt change
  17. This sound is what happens when i turn on the amp. Its loud. There's nothing plugged into the amp, but connecting a bass makes no difference. Any ideas, tech savvy peeps ? Might need head phones ( or not ) amp.mp4
